About the Alianza Poder (AP<\/b>): <\/span><\/h4>

Established in 2003, AP (Formerly the CAPACES Network) is a collaborative of nine sister organizations, hosted and coordinated by the CAPACES Leadership Institute (CLI), whose serving, organizing, and building the leadership of the Latina\/o\/x communities in Oregon to improve the quality of life for all, especially working families. The nine organizations include: PCUN, Farmworker Housing Development Corporation, Evolve Workforce Development, Causa, Mano a Mano Family Center, Latinos Unidos Siempre, Centro de Servicios Para Campesinos, Mujeres Luchadoras Progresistas, Salem-Keizer Coalition for Equality, and the Capaces Leadership Institute.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

CAPACES Leadership Institute: <\/a><\/strong>Prepares leaders to lead and support social justice work. Serves as the primary coordinator of Alianza Poder.<\/span><\/p>

Farmworker Housing Development Corporation:<\/a><\/strong> Develops farmworker leadership for stronger and more secure families and communities through affordable housing, social services, education, and economic development. Housing in Woodburn, Stayton, Sublimity, Independence, Salem, Silverton, and coming soon to Lebanon.<\/span><\/p>

Evolve Workforce Development & Multifamily Housing<\/a><\/strong>:<\/strong> Empowers multicultural workers and communities that have historically been oppressed by housing policies to explore careers in affordable housing management, and offers third-party property management services to culturally specific housing developers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Mujeres Luchadoras Progresistas<\/a><\/strong>:<\/strong> Promotes economic and leadership development for immigrant and farmworker women. During the holiday season, the women sell special edition wreaths that promote women\u2019s economic security, and social and gender justice in the immigrant rights movement.<\/span><\/p>

CAUSA<\/a><\/strong>:<\/strong> Works to improve the lives of Latino immigrants and their families in Oregon through advocacy, coalition building, leadership development, and civic engagement. Latino immigrants and their families are the heart of Causa and inspire, implement, and champion our work.<\/span><\/p>

Latinos Unidos Siempre (LUS)<\/a><\/strong>:<\/strong> Develops Latino youth leadership, and serves many youth in the Salem-Keizer area around issues affecting their daily lives. From school to prison pipeline issues, to reproductive justice, to environmental justice, youth leading the way on the issues of today and the future<\/span><\/p>

Mano a Mano Family Center<\/a><\/strong>:<\/strong>\u00a0 Helps Latino families become self-sufficient and active members of the community. With multiple centers in Salem, MaM supports Salem families with direct services like food pantries, and citizenship classes.<\/span><\/p>

Salem-Keizer Coalition for Equality<\/a><\/strong>:<\/strong> partner and advocate with Latino families, schools and communities to ensure equitable educational outcomes.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
