However, the humans eventually grew to a point where they began to create their own beings, which became the first cylons and this caused a schism with the Gods. The humans left Kobol to go to the twelve colonies, and the cylons, considered the thirteenth tribe, headed to Earth.

On Earth, the cylons grew into a society, eventually loosing the ability to resurrect in favour of biological reproduction. At the same time, they created their own centurions, who became the drones of the society working as slaves, and who eventually rose up against them. Five cylons worked to recreate resurrection technology and were the only ones to survive the centurion’s attack. Having no other choice, they headed towards the twelve colonies, determined to warn the humans and prevent them from making the same mistake.

Unfortunately they were too late. The humans had already created their own cylons, who rose up against them. These centurions were used in the same way as the Thirteenth tribe cylons were, as workers, soldiers, and slaves. The final five arrived after the humans and cylons had been fighting for twelve years. They promised the centurions that they would help create humanoid cylons if the centurions ended the war. The resulting peace lasted forty years, with no one hearing from the cylons.

In this time, the cylons known as the significant seven were created, though there were eight at the time of creation. Leoben was the second, following John, and he was followed by D’anna, Simon, Aaron, the Sixes, Daniel, and Sharon. Of the eight, Daniel was the most loved by Ellen, and John, being the jealous older brother, killed him, to the point where Daniel could not resurrect. He then killed the final five, and rewrote their memories to make them believe they were human, before sending them to the colonies. He also rewrote the memories of his siblings so that they could not remember nor think about the missing seven or the final five. He then set the Cylons on a course of revenge, claiming that it was part of God’s plan that the Cylons take revenge on what had happened to them on the colonies and that the human race should be eradicated.

This attack was executed by having the human models infiltrate the colonies in order to sabotage various key facilities. Most notably, a cylon who came to be known as Caprica Six started a relationship with Doctor Gaius Baltar, which allowed her access to the defense mainframes and weakened them, so when the cylons arrived, the humans would be caught completely off guard. This is exactly what happened, and the cylons quickly and efficiently wiped out 23 billion people with a nuclear attack. As well, the cylons had evolved to a point where they could infiltrate networked computers and shut them down, rendering the newer battlestars and vipers useless. Only older models, who didn't have networked computers, such as the Galactica, were safe.

However, as time passed and the cylons continued to hunt down the humans with limited success, several of the cylons, lead by Caprica Six, believed that peace with the humans should be achieved. This was attempted on New Caprica (a habitable planet that the humans had found and tried to settle on), but failed as the Cylons assumed a controlling stance as opposed to working with the humans, and the desire for peace with the humans faded in light of the original plans. After New Caprica, the cylons decided to head to Earth as well in order to make it their new home and eradicate the humans on the way.

With the reveal of the Final Five cylons, cylon society became divided. There were those who believed that since the five were with the humans, that clearly meant that they should work towards peace (which was believed by the Twos, Sixes, and Eights) and those who disagreed and felt that things were fine as they were (the Ones, Fours, and Fives). A civil war broke out, and the Twos, Sixes, and Eights fled, begging the human fleet for sanctuary and peace.

At the point from which I have taken Leoben, the humans and cylons have agreed to work together in order to find Earth. With the discovery that Earth is a nuclear wasteland, it remains to be seen what will become of the tenuous relationship between these two warring races.

Cylon society works in two ways, through consensus and through their religion. When a decision must be made, the cylons vote on what must be done, and a majority results in the decision, though consensus is preferred. The cylons are also a very religious race, believing in a One True God (directly contrasting the polytheistic colonies) and that this God has a plan for them, and for everyone. Leoben is an especially fervent believer in this plan, believing that he can see visions and is closer to God than most. However, these visions place him on the outskirts of cylon society as the others are less than comfortable with Leoben’s ideas.

They are a race of contradictions, stuck between man and machine, as they were programmed with ideas of free will, but are still bound by that program. As much as they want to, and think that they are able to, the cylons cannot understand humans very well, or human concepts, such as love.

It should be noted that the Cylons do not seem to live in the same state of crisis as the humans do. Where the humans are trapped on overcrowded ships with dwindling resources, the cylons live in relative comfort, with ample space. At least until a civil war breaks out among the cylons. The cylons that join the fleet experience that same sort of crisis as they have been viciously attacked by their siblings and lack the means to defend themselves.

The Cylons are considered the primary antagonists of Battlestar Galactica, and while the show does take pains to show us the cylons as a race, and essentially humanize them, they are still a threat to the humans and are constantly considered a danger. The cylons have to work hard in order to gain the trust of the humans, and even then, it is a tenuous one.

Splendorocity:
Leoben came from the ruined Earth to Splendor, a city of magic. It is a mish-mash of various environments and locations, and relies heavily on wishing, though how wishes are interpreted is often called into question and can sometimes work against the wisher than for it. There are locals who inhabit the city, but they do not like these outsiders being there and are quite cold towards them. When Leoben left, the city could possibly have been running out of the magic used for wishes.
The City of Splendor
Game Premise

Personality:

When Leoben is first encountered in canon, he appears to have a manipulative personality. This makes him a very troublesome opponent, because he mixes truth with lies, and uses mind games to achieve what he wants. This is seen in his first appearance, where he leads Commander Adama through the Ragnar Station, presumably with plans to kill or delay him. He also uses these abilities in his second appearance, where he suggests that he may have planted a nuclear bomb on one of the ships in the fleet.

His second appearance sends Leoben’s personality in a different direction, however. He reveals that he has a very spiritual side to him, He has a devout faith in God (referred to as the One true God/Cylon God, as opposed to the God of our modern day religions), and his divine plan. It is also through God, that he believes he is granted the ability to see patterns, which enable him to have visions about the future. Leoben is also obsessed with destiny, in particular, that of Kara Thrace’s, which he believes he plays a role in. Of all the models, Leoben is considered the most spiritual, and his obsession with Kara Thrace has earned him a bit of disdain.

Leoben has also shown a bit of a pragmatic side to him, particularly among the Cylons. While not a leader among the Cylons, his opinions appear to have some sort of authority. An example of this is when an individual cylon voted against her model. He was the one asked if this particular instance was allowed. Later, he is also seen guiding the leader of the rebel cylons, helping her in her decisions. His thoughts are usually with Kara and her destiny first and foremost however.

He has a calm personality, experiencing but rarely showing emotion unless something causes him to. An example of this is when he and Kara Thrace encounter her corpse on the ruined Earth, coupled with the realization that he may have been wrong about her destiny (and subsequently God’s plan). His expression clearly shows fear and he retreats from her. Although he tries to remain neutral, Leoben does feel emotions intensely. Despite having the ability to resurrect, Leoben does fear death (as Cylons will die permanently if they are too far away from a Basestar/resurrection ship). He will go so far as to make bluffs in order to spare himself, such as suggesting that he has hidden a bomb on one of the ships in the fleet. Unlike some of the other Cylons, Leoben is always searching for a way to be more human, as opposed to machine. He believes in an alliance between humans and cylons, going so far as to go looking for Kara Thrace to bring her to the Basestar, and giving Laura Roslin a means to communicate with the fleet during a mutiny.

His time in Splendor has given him a chance to think about and reflect on his actions during the series. He is more driven towards peace with the humans, and is less inclined to any sort of violence. He is a lot more aware of his limitations and how fragile he really is. He wonders about his faith and his path, and while he still sees the patterns, he isn’t as obsessed with them as he was. While he still tries to help people find their destinies, he is trying to determine where his destiny lies now and that occupies a lot of his thought and his actions. At the same time, he is also trying to be more open and friendly with others.

The peaceful nature of Splendor offered Leoben some chance of renewal, to recover from the shock of the ruined Earth and finding Kara Thrace’s corpse. He didn’t really make his worries known, but was able to start working through them as he lived there. Until he was attacked, killed, and tortured by a ghost mongoose and that set everything back. (Link for explaination). Splendor does not let anyone die, so Leoben’s subsequent resurrection came as a shock to him, coupled with the fact that while he was dead, Fexis, the mongoose, tortured him by having him relive each and every sin he had in his life (The initial ruin of the colonies, New Caprica, Earth, etc) and Leoben was deeply shaken in his faith, aware of how wrong he really was.

Leoben's death is mentioned (Scene was not played out as I am not very good at fight scenes/was busy)
Leoben wakes up after being killed.
Contemplating his place in the universe The conversations in this log have started Leoben on his path to renewal however, especially the one withSaint Walker, and though he still wonders about his faith, he has not discarded it. He is now trying to find his place in everything, and if he can still be a part of God’s plan.
He has also become more comfortable with talking to others in casual conversation, as well as trying to make friends and build relationships. It is a way of both atoning for his previous actions, and proving that the cylons have changed.

Abilities, Weaknesses, and Power Limitation Suggestions:

General Cylon Abilities:

Resurrection – When cylons die, their physically body dies, but the mind is transferred to another body through a process called downloading, which effectively makes them immortal. However, Leoben is coming from a canon point in which resurrection has been eliminated, not to mention he wouldn’t be able to download anyway even if he was coming from a canon point in which he could. It’s mentioned here simply because Leoben has died 8+ times in canon and that does tend to have an effect.

Augmented strength/speed/endurance – Since they are machines, Cylons do have super-human strength and speed, as well as endurance. They are meant to be better than humans. The non-canonical novels also suggest that they are able to lip read and have a thorough knowledge of human anatomy.

Projection – Almost like a really immersive daydream, projection allows the cylons to see themselves somewhere other than where they are.

Abilities Specific to Leoben:
Patterns – Leoben can see the patterns that bind the universe (as he defines it in canon). From my understanding, it seems to be that he can see every moment before it happens, ie: If you were going to trip, he would see you falling before it’s even happened or he’d know what you were going to say before you said it. It’s also something that’s on consistently.

Visions – Leoben is also granted abilities to see the future, though these are less frequent (Happening at least 3 times in canon). They come in the forms of visions of future events that will happen, and Leoben believes that it is partly his responsibility to make sure that they do. There is the sense, however, that he may be interpreting something wrong or for his own agenda.

Leoben also appears to have some mechanical skills, especially in creating/fixing radio and other communication devices.

Weaknesses:
-As much as Leoben manipulates, he can be manipulated fairly easily.
-He is doubting his faith and so this makes him rather vunerable.
-He’s spacy sometimes, and tends to miss things that a normal human might pick up on (social graces and such).

Power Limitations:
I usually tend to play down Leoben’s visions/patterns as I’m aware they’re a bit of a god-moddy ability. This is usually done by saying that something’s blocking Leoben’s abilities (in the past it’s been by magic and such). He can still predict things, and sometimes pull names out of thin air, but at a smaller scale.

I do set up a permissions post in case anyone wants to do anything beyond that, and any sort of larger vision beyond names and Leoben seeing that someone’s going to trip and fall that day (as an example) would, of course, be plotted out.

Inventory: The clothes on his back, not that much different from what he normally wears (a gaudily patterned shirt, jeans, boots), a domino in his pocket (no real importance, just a plain old domino)
Appearance: See icon, the actor is Callum Keith Rennie.
Age: ~late 30s? BSG sucks with ages.

OC/AU Justification ;
If AU, How is Your Version Different From Canon, and How Will That Come Across? Leoben will possess memories from his time in the game Splendorocity. He entered the game from the canon point of 4x11 Sometimes a Great Notion, after finding the corpse of Kara Thrace and learning that he was, essentially, wrong in everything that he had once thought. Needless to say, he was severely rattled, and as such, became less reliant on both his faith and his ability to see patterns. The peaceful nature of Splendor was somewhat renewing to him and he began to work through what had happened to him and where he could go from there.

The events of the Mongoose Massacre were the most damaging to Leoben, as he was shown the full weight of his actions (undoubtedly amplified by the power of this evil mongoose) and his position on his faith and how he should proceed were once again questioned. This is perhaps the biggest change to Leoben as he is questioning his faith, God, and his role as a prophet and someone who knows God's plan. He is no longer as reliant on them, or prone to go off on poetical tangents as he was in canon. I see this as an extension of what happened in 4x11 when he found Kara's corpse. However, he has not abandoned his faith, rather, he is seeking to come back to it, perhaps with a greater understanding of his role in God's plan.

<s>If OC, Did You Run Your Character Through a Mary-Sue Litmus Test?
And What Did You Score?</s>

Samples ;
Log Sample:
It’s not where he was. That’s his first thought when he wakes up and finds himself in the junkyard. He’s not in Splendor anymore. He’s somewhere else. How he got there is a mystery to him. There wasn’t a music box this time, there was just…a flash of light.

Leoben didn’t really know what to make of it. This was, he figured, the second time he’d been displaced. He’d always assumed that one went back to their own world once you left Splendor, but that didn’t seem to be the case. Though, with multiple worlds in existence, it also made sense that he’d end up on another one. Not that he was ready to go home yet. Going home would mean facing a ruined earth and Kara and his failure once again. And though he had the knowledge of multiple earths and the hope that he could find his way again, there was still room for doubt. He wasn’t sure that he wanted to see God’s plan come to fruition, at least, what he had seen of God’s plan.

However, now was not the time for contemplation and reflection. He was in a new world, and if he was going to continue his journey here, he would have to learn all that he could about it. The first step was to get out of this junkyard. Tentatively, he took a small breath and whispered a short prayer before heading out. It was time to begin again.
Network Sample:

[The audio is on, but not intentionally. It’s mostly due to Leoben playing around with the wearable, since this is a new piece of technology for him, though it’s easy enough to understand. It’s been a while since he’s been able to fiddle with something like this. He’s talking to himself while he does so.]

Interesting that I would end up here, and not back where I was before. I assumed that was what happened when one left Splendor.

[Not that he’s complaining. Going back would have meant a ruined Earth and facing Kara and he’s not too sure he’s ready for that yet.]

Perhaps this is only the next stage of my journey.

[And oh? The audio’s been on? Guess he missed that he turned that function on in his exploring, but since he’s aware of it now, might as well learn about the network. The audio switches to video.]

Hello. I have just recently arrived here and I’m looking for more information about this place.

[A thoughtful pause]

Especially if anyone knows why we’re here. Is there purpose to our being here?

Her ability to manipulate the Earth is of interest to him as well. He'd like to get to know her better.

Leoben has learned that Asch has a lot of things to deal with, and thus has decided to help him with everything. This goes about as well as expected and Leoben will probably never leave Asch alone.

Leoben is rather interested in Washington due to his knowledge about another War fought on Earth, as well his involvement in Project Freelancer (especially with the AIs). Washington also has a lot of issues that Leoben wants to help with, so he won't be leaving Wash alone anytime soon. Also he looks like Helo. Leoben isn't sure what to do with that yet.

He is quite literally the happiest person Leoben has ever met, which is something Leoben doesn't mind, as he's had too many unhappy moments.

Just after leaving Kara.
Age: BSG sucks with ages, so I estimate he’s somewhere in his 30s but I have no way of confirming that.
Species: Cylon – a humanoid robot that is virtually indistinguishable from humans. In other words, at face value, you can’t tell that he’s a machine, that only comes with extensive testing/him outright admitting it.
Appearance/PB: See icon. The actor is Callum Keith Rennie
Appearance upon arrival: See icon. He’ll be a bit more dishelved though, since he just came from a particularly devastating situation.

History:
Previous RP memories: None
Bringing someone along?: Nope
Character History:
Note: Two copies of Leoben are referred to in this section, although I will only be playing the second one mentioned. The first is there to give Leoben some more canon and to support aspects of his personality.

Leoben Conoy is the second Cylon model out of eight created by the Final Five Cylons, a race of humanoid robots. Not much is known about his actions pre-series, but cannon has given us some hints, namely that his memory has been tampered with, making him unaware of the identities of the Final Five or the Seventh Cylon model. There are also suggestions that various other Leoben models have infiltrated the colonies.

He is first met when the Galactica escapes to the Ragnar Achorage Station to rearm itself and return to combat the Cylons attacking the colonies. He poses as an arms dealer, but was really sent there to delay Adama from getting back to his ship, and possibly kill him. After revealing his true nature to Adama, they fight, and Leoben is eventually killed. This is the first of many times that Leoben will die throughout the series.

He is next encountered in the colonial fleet, meeting with the other cylons as to how to proceed, since they failed in their initial attempt at destroying humanity. Leoben is charged with stowing away on a ship, and developing methods to disrupt their communications. However, as he does this Leoben intercepts radio transmissions from the pilots, and becomes enamored by one Kara Thrace. Leoben begins to have visions about her, and comes to the conclusion that she may be important in the future. He is later found on the ship and at the President’s insistence, interrogated by Kara Thrace. It is here that their long association begins. He reveals that he has hidden a nuclear warhead on one of the ships in the fleet that it is set to go off in eight hours. Kara attempts to interrogate him about its location, her methods eventually leading to torture, but he refuses to give in. It is here that he reveals his spiritual nature, as well as his prophetic abilities, foretelling events that happen later in the series. President Roslin stops the interrogation, and Leoben’s story about the bomb is proven to be a bluff. He reveals this when the President offers him asylum. However, the President chooses to have him airlocked instead after he tells her that “Adama is a cylon”, a cryptic statement that she has no way of verfiying.

After that, not much is seen of Leoben. It is suggested that after getting airlocked, he did download and told the other cylons what happened to him. It is also speculated that he had some involvement with the resistance on Caprica, but exactly what kind of involvement is unknown. He is next seen on New Caprica, when the Cylons begin their occupation, asking for the location of Kara Thrace.

He is successful in his quest, and takes Kara captive, forcing her to live with him in an apartment he has created, in a hope that she will submit to him and accept her destiny. In four months, he is killed five times, and Kara refuses to listen to him. He attempts to change tactics by introducing a child into the mix, hoping to suggest they connect as a family. He causes Kara to believe that the child is theirs, a cylon-human hybrid. When the Galactica returns to rescue the people on New Caprica, Kara is rescued, but she returns to save the child, and is confronted by Leoben. He is killed once again.

Leoben has a few more brief appearances. When the Cylons confront the Colonials over the Eye of Jupiter, he is seen discussing with the other models the fate of D’anna, and whether or not to box her, put her memories in cold storage. He eventually votes to do this, as D’anna is disrupting the cylon’s way of life.

The Cylons confront the Humans once again at the Ionian nebula, the next step on the way to Earth. During the confusion, the Final Five cylons awaken to their true nature and the Cylon raiders become aware of this. They call off their attack much to the confusion of the human models. The Twos, Sixes, and Eights become convinced that the Five are in the fleet, and that’s why the raiders stop attacking. Leoben disagrees with Cavil, the leader, about lobotomizing the Raiders, since they are sentient beings. After the raiders are lobotomized, the Twos, Sixes, and Eights, give the Cylon centurions free will, bringing about a civil war. Leoben goes off in search of the Colonial fleet in order to propose a truce with the humans.

He manages to find Kara, who had taken a ship looking for the way to earth. He manages to convince her of both her destiny and a potential truce, and takes her to the Basestar. It is there that Kara learns that she is the “harbinger of death and will lead them all to their end,” from the basestar’s hybrid. When the cylons eventually meet up with the fleet, Leoben acts with Natalie to propose a plan to destroy the resurrection hub and bring the threes back online in order to get the way to Earth. They are successful, and manage to find Earth. Earth however, is a nuclear wasteland. This is because it belonged to the Thirteenth tribe, who were cylons, and had the same thing happen to them as the colonies, with a robotic uprising. Leoben goes off in search of a colonial signal with Kara, and they find her corpse. Leoben also learns that Kara is the “harbinger of death” and that those words came from the hybrid. Realizing he is wrong, Leoben flees. It is after he flees that Leoben will enter Splendor.

He believes in an alliance between humans and cylons, going so far as to go looking for Kara Thrace to bring her to the Basestar, and giving Laura Roslin a means to communicate with the fleet during a mutiny

Extra:
Character Abilities:

Possessions: None
Anything else: Because of his ability to see patterns, Leoben can get a sense of other people’s lives through what he sees. As a result, he tends to pick up on others who have destinies or are chosen ones, with the intention that he should guide them to the completion of their destiny.
I am aware that both abilities are slightly godmody, and tend to tone it down in games to avoid this. I also include a permissions post and anything extensive to with visions would be plotted out.
Also, given his canon point, he probably will be avoiding his abilities at first.

Samples:
Action/Communication thread/post sample:
Note: Takes place after he’s been in the city for a few days]

[He’s returned to the beach after a few days in Splendor, now that he can see it with more clarity.]

[Said more to himself]It’s like the beaches on Picon

It’s been a long time since I’ve been anywhere so peaceful, and have it be reality. I was starting to doubt that such a place existed.

Perhaps I might be able to make this place my home, for the time being. Maybe this is a way to defy to my fate

Log/Prose sample:

He sits on the beach, staring out at the ocean, not really hearing the sounds of it hitting the shore. He stares simply because it’s something to look at, and it prevents him from projecting the field where they had found the ruined viper. Leoben thinks that by preventing the projection from happening, he can stop thinking about the incident, and maybe, just maybe, he can put it behind him.

But it’s harder than that. His mind is still swarming with questions. How could he have been so wrong? Was that really God’s plan? Had he interpreted everything he’d ever seen or heard incorrectly? What did that mean for his role? If he had been so wrong, did that mean he even had a right to see the patterns anymore? So many questions, and answers that he wasn’t sure how to obtain.

A blast of salt water hits him, and for what seems like the first time, Leoben realizes where he is, and that the tide is coming in. He scrambles to stand up and move farther up the beach, before it hits him that this was not the same beach on the ruined planet he was before. Turning, and looking around, he knows now that he is no longer on Earth, but is somewhere else entirely. For one of the few times in his life, Leoben is actually surprised. Where am I? is all he can wonder now.

Patterns and Visions Permissions Post

One of the unique aspects of Leoben in Battlestar Galactica, is that he has the ability to see "patterns". In simpler terms, he has the ability to see the future, in one of two ways.

The first is through the patterns, which appears to work as, if you were having a conversation with him, he'd know what you were going to say before you say it. The second is through a full-out vision, which usually correctly predicts future events. The first seems to be constant thing, whereas the second is more rare. Because of these patterns, Leoben tends to know a lot about people just from looking at them. He can't read your mind, but he can know your past, and possibly your future, basically.

Canonically, Leoben hasn't been wrong, but he has been known to interpret things incorrectly, either to suit his own agenda or just because. Please keep that in mind for any plottings.

To avoid any accidental god-modding or anything like that, please answer the following questions.

1. How much can Leoben know about your character?
In other words, how far back in your character's history can Leoben see? How far forward? Is there some traumatic event you don't want brought up or anything like that?
*Please note that how much your canon is touched upon in a conversation is dependent on how well I know the canon.

2. What are some things that Leoben can tell right off the bat? Anything that you want to remain hidden?
Is your character human or not? Do they have some special powers? Anything like that.

3. Is your character some kind of chosen one and is it alright if Leoben picks up on that?
Leoben tends to notice people with destinies. If spotted he will try to help you complete it. His methods aren't perfect however.

4. Is it okay for Leoben to predict your character's future through the patterns?
He might predict that your character will trip on something, or something along those lines.

5. Going with that, would you be interested in a full-out vision at some point?
We'd discuss and plot of course.

Permissions Post

CHARACTER NAME: Leoben Conoy
CHARACTER SERIES: Battlestar Galactica

[OOC]
This is the permissions list for OOC (out of character), activity.

Backtagging: Always welcome. I'm a slow tagger sometimes, so backtagging is always appreciated.
Threadhopping:Sure
Fourthwalling:Please no
Offensive subjects (elaborate): Please contact

[IC]
This is the permissions list for IC (in-character), activity.
Answer the following questions with "yes" or "no", as well as additional information if desired. With IC permissions, it's a good idea to elaborate on what other players can expect from your character if they choose to do any of the following:

Hugging this character: Yes
Kissing this character: Sure
Flirting with this character: Yes
Fighting with this character: Yes, but he'll fight back
Injuring this character (include limits and severity): If it's a minor cut or bruise or something like that than it's fine. Anything else, like big gashes, or broken bones, things that take time to heal, please contact me to check.
Killing this character: No, unless it's plot related. He's died enough.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: You can but you might want to be wary.

Warnings: None that I can think of.

Get your own copy of the IC/OOC Permissions meme!

How's My Driving?

Comment here if you have any comments or concerns about my playing. Or you just want to tell me I'm doing a good job. Anonymous Commenting is screened.

Figured this might be worth noting, but Leoben's voice has always been a bit iffy for me, and I am aware that I'm probably due for a canon review. However, I have found myself to be burnt out on BSG and any desire to watch the show has, well, died. Needless to say this makes canon review extremely difficult. I still love the show, but it feels like I've been trying to canon review for a very long time and haven't had the time, so it feels like it's turned into a chore, rather than something I'd enjoy doing. Not to mention there's a large backlog of DVDs that has built up while I've been waiting for a decent time to canon review (school was originally a factor as to why I couldn't). As such, I've put myself on a break from BSG and will probably return to it at a time when I've thinned out a bit of my backlog and can come back to the series with a clearer head.

tl;dr: I'm aware I need a canon review, but I'm suffering from BSG-burnout. It'll happen, but sometime in the future.
