Title: Understanding Pete Wentz
Summary: Patrick really tried to understand Pete's need for constant attention.

Patrick really tried to understand Pete’s need for constant attention.
Like how he would stand by Pete’s side and watch as his boyfriend would flirt with anyone really, as long as they had a pretty face. Pete didn’t seem to mind or care that Patrick would glare daggers in his direction.
Like how Patrick blush’s as Pete would say to a journalist, “I keep Patrick up all night. You can’t tell by looking at him, but he is a real screamer.” Pete would then watch smiling triumphantly as the journalist makes a rushed note on their pad.
Like how Patrick would smirk as Pete makes a scene, “Trick, what the fuck are you smirking at?”
Shrugging his shoulders, Patrick would glance around at the 40 or so people who were witnessing Pete’s tantrum, “You should be pissed too man, this director is a dick. He’s been staring at your fucking thighs all day!”
Patrick knows after hearing the gasps and whispers around them, that what just happened will soon be on Perez Hilton.
One thing that Patrick doesn’t need to try and understand is Pete’s love for him.
Like how Pete would sneak up behind him at a show and rest his head on Patrick’s neck, mouthing ‘I love you’ against his skin.
Like how Pete would take hold of Patrick’s hand. He would squeeze it firmly, but still gentle all the same. Pete would smile brightly at Patrick big and wide, his eyes shining only for Patrick.
Like how Pete trusts Patrick with his lyrics. Pete watches his mouth agape, as Patrick hums a melody softly before he starts to sing Pete’s heart.
Like how Pete would go after anyone with a sharp object if they offended Patrick in anyway, (besides himself, of course) if there were no weapons handy he would then attack them with his acid tongue.
Patrick mostly knows Pete loves him after they fuck, when Pete pulls him close to his body, kisses him behind his ear and sighs happily as Pete waits for Patrick to fall asleep first.
