Fic Search???

Hey everyone, I hate to do this... but I'm looking for a fic set in the future where Pete is kinda hypnotized by some weird feed thing in his ear or whatever.. and Patrick is a rebel or something and saves him by removing it.

I know it's not really specific, but it's all I can remember about it.
