Author's Note:I got the idea from watching Grey's Anatomy on Lifetime. Dedicated to some of my flist-ers (ie
megyal,

"What are you doing up," Joe asks, shuffling past Patrick in the small space of the bus.
"I could ask you the same but I can hear the porno in the back."
Joe smiles, grabbing a water bottle and starting the small microwave to his Hot Pocket. "Well you know my reason. What's yours?"
Patrick shrugs and stuffs himself in the small booth they use as a table. "Why are you asking? You heard us fighting earlier."
"I think the whole state of Arizona heard you guys."
"We're in New Mexico now."
"We were driving through Arizona at the time."
Patrick sighs. "Well you heard us, so tell me if I'm right."
Joe holds up his hands in surrender. "I'm not getting involved. Andy still has the black eye from when he tried to talk to Pete about all of this."
"I'm not as volatile as Pete."
Joe snickers and takes out his steaming Hot Pocket. "Yeah right, tell that to Pete's bruised cheek." Joe eyes his tired friend. Against his better judgement and chalking it up as being still high, he sets his plate and bottle on the table. "So he really cheated?"
Patrick nods, rubbing his head before readjusting his hat. "In LA. With some...woman from some red carpet deal he went to."
"Are you certain?"
"I don't wear red thongs." Joe raises his eyebrows. "Well I don't...I like blue ones."
"Well...then." Joe grabs his food again. "Have you had counseling?"
"We had adultry, that's enough."
"It might do you some good."
"If I castrate him, that might do him some good."
Joe chuckles and walks down the narrow hallway. "Just wait until we're back home Mrs. Bobbit. I don't feel like searching through ditches for something so small."
Patrick groans, thumping his head against the table. "It's not small."

"I need to talk to you."
"Hell no." Andy takes off his glasses and points to his right eye. "See? Still black!"
"I told you, I'm sorry. I was...having a bad day."
"No shit." Andy puts his glasses back on and motions to the chair next to him. "Ground rules. One, do not hit me."
Pete grins. "I can restrain myself. What's the second?"
Andy pushes his face into Pete's. "DO. NOT. HIT ME!"
Pete groans and rubs his ear. "Okay, okay. Sheesh."
Andy grins and claps Pete on the shoulder. "Okay, so you wanted to know if you should ask Patrick to go to couple's counseling with you."
"How'd you know?"
"Because I would ask the same thing."
"So should I?"
"Do you think you truly need it?"
Pete shrugs. "I guess. I mean we've had I don't know how many fights and I swear to God I thought Patrick was going to rip my dick off the other night."
Andy chuckles. "I wondered why you were screaming your head off."
"Well yeah." He looks at Andy, his eyes asking for help. "Help me?"
"He's your boyfriend. You know him better than us." Andy moves to get up but is stayed by Pete's hand.
"Come on...please?"
Andy sighs and leans back in his chair. "Well you'll have to put it so it seems like his idea. He already doesn't trust you because of the whole cheating thing. So you'll have to suggest it, not demand it. And be nice."
Pete's face reads offended when Andy looks back as he leaves. "I am nice."
"I mean normal person nice." He reaches the door and smiles. "You know...someone who doesn't punch their friends and cheat on their boyfriend."
Pete scowls at the closed door. "I am nice...sissy."
*
"Can we talk?"
"I don't know," Patrick mumbles. He lowers the newspaper, his eyes skeptical. "Can we?"
Pete bites his tongue. "Look uh...I was thinking. You know...maybe we should, uhm, call it quits."
"No."
"What do you mean no?"
"I mean no we won't." Patrick raises his eyebrow at his adulterous yet beautiful boyfriend. "You don't want to call it quits." He raises the paper again. "You like the sex too much."
Pete curses under his breath. "True." He sits across from Patrick. "Well we can't keep fighting like this. Are you ever going to stop being so fucking difficult?"
"Are you ever going to stop fucking behind my back?"
"But you like it on your back."
Patrick grins behind the paper, clearing his face before lowering it again. "You have a point."
"I think we should go to counseling," they say at the same time.
Patrick eyes Pete. "I thought of it first."
"Fine fine, you did." His eyes grin. "Since you thought of it, maybe you should find the counseler."
"Since you cheated, you should find him." With that, Patrick folds his paper, plants a hard kiss on Pete's mouth and walks away.
Pete smiles at his retreating form. "Can we still have sex in the meantime?"
"Only with each other."
"Well there goes that swinger party."
