Logos Naki World - Part Four A
Title: Logos Naki World - Um Part Four A
Pairing: Pete/Patrick
Rating: Whatever rating cursing is...
Summary: Sometimes all it takes
is the worst moments in life to make you realize just exactly what you
would do for something that means the world to you.
Disclaimer: the same as the rest of the chapters...
Notes: Patrick in fact gets to
meet the man with no name. We'll just call him Bob for now. LOL. More
Joe and Andy. Give them love. Also this chapter seems to never want to
end, so I'm going to be splitting it into two parts. Enjoy. ^_^
Down down , wish its just a revelation
Take me there, talk me into a revolution
Down down ,won’t you hear the vibration
Take me home and I'll look into return
It’s five minutes past the time he said for me to be here. Where IS he?
He better not find this humorous because right now, I am not a happy
camper. And if I don’t have proof of Pete’s well being, there will be a
WWP throw down. I can guarantee it will hurt very much.
“He’s probably some creepy stalker dude.” Joe shrugged, “We all seem to be attracting them.”
“Didn’t you make mention once of some… magnet you carry on you at all times?” Andy asked.
“Oh yeah!” I watched Joe dig it out. He held it up for all to see. It had tape on it with marker writing that read: Babe magnet. I watched as Andy snatch it away and look it over.
“That makes me feel even better.” I turned to look at him, “He said he gave Pete a couple Barbies.”
“You kidding me?”
“No.”
“That means he’ll quit dreaming of guys-” I saw Andy clap a hand over
Joe’s mouth. I looked at Joe with an odd look. Pete’s never told me
about his dreams. When did Joe just suddenly become his dream journal?
I looked at Andy, “This guy means business. Whoever he is.”
“Business, indeed.”
I turned to look at the man standing next to our table. He reminded me
of guys who would be in the mob – Zoot suits and a hat to match. Except
he seemed… a little more creepier. It’s like looking at a Million to
Juan and picturing him with hair just a bit over the top of his ear…
and a lot meaner.
I motioned for him to sit down, but he refused. I guess this wouldn’t
take long. Maybe I’ll get to see Pete too. I think he was a bit annoyed
for the fact that I had two bodyguards with me, even if he seemed to
ignore that they were even present.
“Lovely gash. I hope it didn’t hurt too much.”
“I hardly felt it.” Asshole.
“I wasn’t the one who hit you, if you want to know.”
“Why’s that?”
“Unlike some people, I find you… charming.”
“Are you British or something?” I’ll be lucky if I can insult him face to face now.
“Actually, I am.”
“I knew you European guys were all pervy date-raping Peter-panda
fanciers!” I think we both gave Joe the same look because he just gave
me a Cloud shrug. “I’m sorry, I don’t know why I said that…”
“If you don’t mind,” He gestured to me then in the direction of the
bathroom. Well if he wanted to take a leak, he didn’t need to tell me.
“A private conversation?” Like I was going to leave the safety of my
friends? Heck no man. I’ve been hit once already. For all I know he
could slit my throat or something. Then I’d have to come back and haunt
everyone.
“I can assure you I won’t harm you.” He held up Pete’s phone, “But I
can’t guarantee the owner of this will be in perfect health.” Great
incentive. Remind me people why I do things for Pete? Oh right, because
I have a man crush on him.
“What’s so fucking secretive about you kidnapping my best friend? They
already know he’s missing.” I thumbed to Joe and Andy who nodded in
return, “What is it that you can’t say in front of them?”
“What I have to say doesn’t concern them.”
“Bullshit.” It’s too bad the Jedi Mind Trick doesn’t work for real. I’m sure Andy or Joe would have used it by now.
He lifted a brow at me before crossing his arms and shifted his stance
slightly. So maybe he was a little pissed off, “I’ll give you 24 hours
to figure out things concerning him. You figure it out, I’ll take you
to him.”
“Define ‘concerning’. Pete’s a very complicated person. I don’t think I
want to know what all this has to do with you and a railing and
handcuffs.”
“Why 24 hours?” Joe suspiciously asked, “And not some random odd number like Your mom?”
I watched him chuckle, put his hands down on the table and leaned
toward us, “Because after that, he won’t be in the states anymore.
He’ll be on my turf.”
Well I’ll be fucking damned. “What is this, some messed up game of hide and seek?”
“Maybe.” He stepped back and gestured again. Hmm, perhaps I should flip
a coin to see if I stay or go… “Let me put it this way. I’ve done this
before with other bands.”
He'll keep gesturing me, he'll keep gesturing me until I go with him. This is ugh...
This is ridiculous, ok I'll go, I'll go, I'll go, I'll go, I'll go.
What - I'LL GO. (I’ll marry the first person who knows the reference)
I got up and looked at my friends. I pointed to the both as I moved
around the table, “Sit boy. Stay.” Joe gave me one of those ‘quivering
lip’ and ‘cute-puppy-eyes’ faces. I wish I had a camera on me. But
right now, Pete was more important that a stupid camera.
It still feels like I’m in some mob movie and don’t know it. I mean…
you follow the guy into an empty room and there’s usually that feeling
that someone’s gonna get shot up… I should stop watching movies with
Pete late at night.
***
He slammed me against the wall. Like, not body slammed, but pined
against the wall with his body. Yeah, pined. That’s the word. Hand on
either side of my head. I hope he doesn’t kiss me. I have a girlfriend.
The sooner I was away from him, the better I would feel.
“What was it you wanted to tell me in private?”
“I like you.” He breathed, just inches from my face. I don’t think he
brushed or used a mint. He reeks of alcohol. So not attractive. “A
lot.” Right, it’s only a little obvious… I smell Pete all over him,
though. I’m not sure if I’m fascinated or pissed off. But man oh man do
I have to pee. I just realized that.
“Should I be flattered, or frightened?” Scratch that - too late, it
slipped. “Wait, you’re telling me you kidnapped my best friend because
you think he ruins your chances to pin guys like me to wall in a
bathroom? No offense, but I’m not Willa Ford.”
He laughed, one hand slipping an inch down closer to my shoulder, “For a shy guy you’re very talkative.”
“If I keep ignoring you, will you go away?”
“Not very likely.”
“Will you back off so I can at least pee?”
“Charming conversationalist.”
“Boo and yah.”
C’mon, I really do need to frickin pee. And the idea of peeing my pants is not much of a shout out.
He backed off then, though he blocked the exit door. What does he think
I’m going to do, go outside and pee? Geez. Public bathrooms really ARE
public. Just so you know, I decided to use the stall for a little more
privacy. I’ll just make conversation to know where he is in the
meantime. As long as he stays by the door it’s all good.
“So all this privacy talk was just to tell me you liked me? You do know I have a girlfriend, right?”
“I assume it’s just a cover up.”
“Why do you assume that?”
“You never kiss her.”
“How the hell would you know that?”
“I’m a very good judge of character. Besides, it’s fairly obvious how you look at Peter.”
“Oh really? I didn’t know. How do I look at him? With one or two eyes?”
“He’s the only one that can make you blush on every inch of visible skin.”
“Pete’s complicated. And my best friend.”
“So you’ve already said.” He paused, “So tell me, how do you really feel about him?”
“Look man, you’re getting personal.”
“So it’s true. You do care deeply for him.”
“So it’s true. You are jealous he’s my friend.” I mocked in return.
I flushed and carefully zipped up. I came back out, washing my hands at
the sink with that really cool foam soap. I’ve always told Pete that
stuff was cool. I dried my hands off and looked over at him. He was
still leaning against the door.
“My little sister is angry with the rest of you. Is the rumor of the
cancellation because of the label, or because you honestly just don’t
want to be in Europe right now?”
What the-the flying whaaa? Wow… um. That caught me off guard. Really it
did. It was just… a complete change of topic. From my preference and my
personal information, he’s now talking about the four of us as a whole.
“You have a little sister?” I stared blankly at him.
“Penda’s eighteen.”
“You call that little?”
“She’s only four foot nine inches tall.”
“Wow. She’s shorter than me… is she a hobbit?”
“Hardly.” He’d a very weird guy. I hope not all European men are like
this. If she’s 18, do I want to know how old he is? Probably not… “She
just adores, Peter. So he’s in perfectly good hands.” Well he seems to
personally dislike Pete a whole lot. “For now.”
“Ah, so let me get this all straight.” I adjusted my hat for moment,
“You kidnapped Pete because the European Tour was canceled and you hate
him?” and I added in the also recent information, “AND because you have
a man-crush on me?”
“Now you’re grasping the concept.”
“Hmm. And the plot thickens." He chuckled then, “You know you just
screwed your chance of taking Pete back with you, right?” Just
checking. He moved toward me. Um… Crap?
“Penda’s impatient. She wanted to play.” He pulled something out of his
pocket. Paper… yay. Oh wait, it has writing on it. Double yay? “With
you.”
“Me? I thought she didn’t like me.” I am officially a WTF victim. I’m also very confused now.
“She doesn’t. She hates you.”
“Have you two tried family therapy sessions at all?” Yeah… have you tried not being a psycho? I hear it kind of helps.
