Team 4738, The Patribots, is the robotics team at Patrick Henry High School, established in the fall of 2012. The Patribots come together every year to participate in the F.I.R.S.T. Robotics Competitions (FRC). The mission of F.I.R.S.T. is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders and innovators by engaging students to work in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). We strive to provide students with the opportunity to expand their knowledge of STEM, collaborate on real-world projects with others, and prepare them for their futures by creating a robot that competes with teams from around the world. The team’s goals reach far beyond building a competitive robot, though; the Patribots work year-round to expand outreach, spreading the vision of F.I.R.S.T. and showing the world the importance of STEM and STEM Education.
