Hi! I'm Josh, otherwise known as Shifty, and creator of <a href="https://github.com/Shfty/qodot-plugin">Qodot</a>. I've been doing game development for the best part of a decade, and have gradually come to realise that my calling lies in tools programming. I started working on Qodot in December of last year, and have watched it grow from a humble geometry import tool into a powerful level interchange pipeline, with a community of game developers gradually building alongside and using it to create some genuinely impressive work. My intent with the project is to bring brush-based level design back to modern game engines; Modern pipelines focus heavily on assets and necessitate 3D art expertise, whereas the older approach allows anyone to create a map with sufficient practice. As someone whose expertise lies largely in code, that's an invaluable workflow with a ton of potential. I'd love to be able to concentrate my efforts on building out Qodot with new features, formats, and engine compatibility, and your support can help make sure I have what I need to keep rent and various other expenses in check as I continue the project.
