pychess-variants is a free, open-source chess server designed to play several chess variant.

Additionally
 you can check Chess960 option in for Standard, Crazyhouse, Capablanca 
and Capahouse to start games from random positions with 
<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chess960#Castling_rules">Chess960 castling rules.</a> 
For move generation, validation, analysis and engine play it uses 
<a href="https://github.com/gbtami/Fairy-Stockfish">Fairy-Stockfish</a>, <a href="https://github.com/gbtami/fairyfishnet">fairyfishnet</a> and <a href="https://github.com/gbtami/lichess-bot-variants">lichess-bot-variants.</a> 
On client side it is based on 
<a href="https://github.com/gbtami/chessgroundx">chessgroundx.</a>

Why does pychess-variants need your support? 
 
As
 you know, pychess-variants is a free server and it will remain free. However, 
maintaining and improving the server costs time and money. 
 
 
I 
have been developing the server in my free-time, as a passion project! I
 am so full of ideas that I want to develop but I can only stretch 
myself so thin. If I could raise the funds to
 stop working extra-hours at my regular job, I would be a very happy 
person with more time to dedicate to this amazing project!
