I'm the author and co-maintainer of <a href="https://pursuedpybear.org/">PursuedPyBear</a> and education focused game library. I'd like to dedicate more time to the project, including a long road map of new features and tutorials, how-tos, and <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_educational_resources">open educational resources</a>. Your support will help me hire the specialists I need to make all of this happen. So I took it upon myself to take the basic understanding of logic I got in my introduction to programming class, picked up a book or two in Python, and dove into the greatest hobby I've ever had.<br><br><h2>Games became my hack space</h2>I wrote my first game of my own design that first month. It was terrible, colored squared and stiff keyboard controls, but it started a passion that became a career.<br><br>Now, I'm a full time software developer, but I keep coming back to video games. For the last three years, I've given talks about games in Python at regional conferences and tech meet-ups.<br><br><iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ZM7CjZXccY8" width="560"></iframe><br>I've continued to hack small games and use games to learn more and more advanced programming concepts.<br><br><h2>I want to provide tools for others</h2>Help me develop new tutorials for making games. I would like to develop video and written tutorials for various concepts. I'd like to build samples and mod-able games for hacking on. Ultimately, I am writing a Python game framework for new programmers to use as their primary hack tool.<br><br>I'll use your pledges to help pay for research materials, offset hosting costs, upgrade my production equipment, and fund me and others building my game engine and various free resources.<br>

Tip Jar

Modders are folks interested in playing with code. As part of my various work, I build small video games. I finish one about one per quarter, and users at this tier will get a special version of the game with the assets stripped and the game values documented so you can use my code to package your own game.<br><br>This is additional work after I finish a game thus the higher minimum price.<br><br>Note: Games will be delivered approximately quarterly.<br>

Modder

<p>Get one-on-one help with your game projects or other project I have the skills to help with. This is limited to no more than two hours a month.</p>
