Hi there! I'm Pathoschild. I build SMAPI and nurture the Stardew Valley modding scene as a full-time hobby. I develop SMAPI (the mod loader for Stardew Valley), Content Patcher (used to mod the game without programming), the mod build package (used to create SMAPI mods), the mod update check service, my own mods and a variety of abandoned mods (many of the top 50 mods). I also submit pull requests to help other mod authors, and prepare unofficial updates to keep mods compatible. Otherwise I write documentation on the wiki, prepare migration guides for modders, and help players and modders on Discord, the SMAPI and Stardew Valley subreddits, Nexus Mods, and the Stardew Valley forums. And finally I occasionally work with the game developers to improve modding support, and coordinate with developers of external tools like Harmony and Tiled for requests from the Stardew Valley modding community. I release frequent SMAPI updates throughout the year. See my public posts for what changed in recent updates and what's coming up! SMAPI will always be free and open-source, but it takes a lot of time (e.g. development, planning, documentation, and support) and money (e.g. database and web hosting, domains, coffee, etc).
