We created CryptoHack from a place of passion. We've spent years playing CTFs and enjoying puzzles, and wanted to share our love of well-designed and educational cryptography challenges.
We've only been live since March 2020, but the site has already grown bigger than we ever thought it would. Of all the things, the growing community surrounding the site is what we're happiest with, and we're keen to keep working hard at making a space for cryptographers to learn and chat with each other.
As the platform and community have grown, so have the costs and time to run the infrastructure. We have big ambitions for CryptoHack but first need to make it sustainable for us to run. This will give us more time to focus on providing cool new challenges and features.
