Who is david? Hi, and welcome to my financial support zone! I’m david wolfpaw, an artist and online creator making art for and on the web. My work supports queer and marginalized communities, as well as the furry fandom. I’ve been on the internet for almost 30 years— right after the heyday of BBS and telnet, early in the life of the world wide web. Now, I’m taking that experience and moderating online communities, creating digital art, and helping others build things on the web. What do I do? My work is all about empowering people — especially those who are excluded from mainstream tech spaces — to create and express themselves online. Recently, I’ve been: Running a medium sized Mastodon server for queer people interested in tech Creating digital art and tutorials. Developing tools to help others make websites and creative projects. This includes things like WordPress themes, plugins, and browser extensions. Sharing insights and experiences to inspire others in marginalized communities. What is my mission? My goal is to make the web more accessible, fun, and creative for everyone. It has been hard for me to grow as a developer and artist by learning on my own. Having a supportive community is exactly what helped me to grow. I create tools, tutorials, tips, and tricks for people who want to learn how to make things online. I focus on those without a computer science or web development background. I want to find those of you who want to make a space for yourselves and others online, and empower you to do so. What’s coming next? I’ve got big plans for the future! I want to: Create more tutorials. Build tools for creators Make art that inspires and empowers others. Your support will help make all of this happen! What will my money be used for? Why do you need my support? Time spent on paid client work is great (capitalism tells me that I need to make money to live), but it does take away from time for the projects that I can make to freely give away to the world. I would much rather make more useful and fun things that can benefit and bring delight to others. My true passion is creating things that I can share freely with others.
