Larry SP400

4 sample slots w/ variable sample rate / pitch; midi note numbers trigger samples. Extremely subpar attempt at recreating the experience on something like an SP12, but actually became really fun and useful in it’s own way, so get at it.

Global Controls:
Pitch / Speed – use slider
Sample Rate – click messages or use slider
Master Volume – output to DAC

Independent Controls:
Load – choose one shot sample
Speed – overrides Global Pitch / Speed
Duration – crude end of sample position
Gain – output volume to master
Sample Rate – overrides Global Sample Rate
Pad 6 (hi-hat) Includes Tremelo LFO and Delay (4 tha vibez) fx taken from Martin Brinkman’s DIY library

Notes:

Click Metro to view waveform

Load one sample per pad

Map your midi controller or MPC to the pads.

Larry uses Pad Bank A on his Akai MPC:
Pad 1 = midi note no. 36 (kick)
Pad 2 = midi note no. 37 (snare)
Pad 5 = midi note no. 40 (ghost)
Pad 6 = midi note no. 41 (hat/ride)

You can change midi output of your pads, or change
the values of the Route Object to get your controller to work.

You can also sequence the SP400 from your DAW, but why ya wanna
do that 4?
