Television and more
More of the Grissom/Sara yuck. I love Sara and at least her character is not the All-Angst Channel, All The Time, anymore, but seriously, ew. And the little 'clever' things they keep inserting. The thing back when Grissom was going on sabbatical where Nick was speculating about Grissom having a girlfriend, today's episode where Warrick said he hoped Sara's taste in men had improved... yech.
The episode itself was good, overall. I just would've been happier without the clever little comments and end scene. >:
Now, the non-CSI: ramblings...
I got the two videos I ordered last week. With an invoice. Eighty dollars of merchandise and I mean, they sent them USPS. I could so very easily claim that I never received them. It would not be possible for them to prove if I did or not, unless they searched my house or whatever. I mean, yes, I am going to pay, don't get me wrong, but the level of trust here is a little bit astounding. So I have been watching Birth Day. I think it's a neat video, don't get me wrong, but I'm not sure that I completely understand what all the fuss is about. People describe it as if it is THE BEST BIRTH VIDEO EVAR and OMG SO MEANINGFUL YOU WILL SOB and while it is good, there are other birth videos I have seen that I would say "move" me moreso than this one. The best part about it, though, is that it's a nice, straightforward birth video that I could easily show during classed, and the little sidebar part about the immediate postpartum is good, too. I also have A Clear Road to Birth but I may wait and watch it tomorrow. Right now I am going to watch a West Wing ep.
This week has gone very quickly. Time flies when you're stuck in the mud. I suppose I'll have to attempt to get things accomplished tomorrow and this weekend. Sunday I have a thing, but only in the afternoon. Nope, seriously, West Wing time. Gotta love iTunes. Since I am waiting on this beautiful thing to get here, but I already had S1, I was enabled by iTunes for the first bit of S2. Once my big beautiful box gets here, I am sending S1 to
Also. Where is the good tv? My viewing has pared down to the three CSIs, and only two of them always. On the one hand, I am glad that I am cutting back on television. On the other hand, I feel like, well, there must be something, somewhere, that is not complete and utter crap. Right? I mean, The West Wing was television, and it was not crap.
Richardson. Ask me again next month. It's either Richardson, Vilsack, or Biden.
