tonight was fun!
i had dinner, shopping and drinks with amanda, amy, jo and jo's friend whose name completely escapes me at this point in time.
it was cool, and i got lots of hugs just like i needed. jo and amanda are super good at hugs.
we had a yummy dinner at Verona (mmm, cajun fish, satay tofu and noodles) where they gave us many more pairs of chopsticks than required.
then we went shopping at real groovy, looked at lots of fun stuff, but didn't find what i wanted (dismemberment plan cd).
then we went to meet amanda's friend anna @ a scary loud porno dancing cheapest-drinks-in-auckland student bar. they had these huge speakers set up outside, so even when you sat at an outside table (which in a regular bar would be quieter than inside) the music was almost too loud to converse.
so i got my first birthday present last night, my friend emily got me the video of Empire Records (which was our fave in HS, and still ranks up in my top 10) which came in a double pack with The Lost Boys yay!
i'm very very cold now (the weather is unbelievably cold here!) and starting to get very very tired, so i'm going to crawl into my warm childhood bed (i'm staying @ my parents house) and read some of the Bridget Jones Diary before i go see it next week.
