well, i had a really nice weekend. those stupid work meetings on friday sucked the big one - its times like those that i wonder what i'm doing in this job, and whether they realise that i bluff my way through half of these businessy things.
but i hung out with my family on friday night, my cousin and his gf were here from melbourne, so they visited, as well as a whole bunch of other family members. man kids are so much fun, and their laughs are so infectious. and playing with kids is the hell workout, i must have done about 30 laps of our house after our game of tag!
caught up with a few old friends when we went out. my first HS boyfriend. he's 23 sleeping with a 17 yo. but displeased with what i'm picking as immaturity. oh well.
hung out with toby on saturday night, we are doing a road trip to auckland next weekend, with a few of his friends, for a comic convention thing tha he's a guest speaker at. so he gets to meet my parents, and my other friends.
was my flatmattes birthday party yesterday. we had to submit our colouring competition for entry to the house, damn there were some cool entries. they were all cool in fact, since we are all artisticy people. it was a fairy picnic in her mums backyard, we dressed all pretty and sparky and glittery, i had bells around my ankle and wore my pretty floaty orange petticoat. we blew bubbles and ate fairy bread and pinned the tail on the donkey and passed the parcel. it was so much fun. her mum gave us heaps of food , alcohol and drugs, so we were happy campers.

so my latest thing that i love is the weather. its always doing something different and cool. my flight home on saturday was incredible, the sun was just starting to set out my side of the plane, and i pretty much stared out the window the entire flight. sun relecting off water, top of the south island with its beautiful golden beaches and blue bays. the pattersn of the currents that you can see in the waves from above.
and walking to work this morning seeing the sun hitting the harbour at the perfect angle, while the surrounding hills are all misty still, but with the sunlight catching the mist as well, making it all glowy and bright. incredible. i love living here.
