anyone for icecream?

help please? i want to make some icecream tomorrow, what is the best recipe to use? i've had some people say cream, my sis uses evaporated milk, someone else told me just loads of butter & sugar [?!], and i'm about to do an internet search which will undoubtedly turn up a billion variations, just wanted to see if anyone has had any particularly successful icecream adventures that they care to share... i'll share the icecream if you help [and if you can make it to my house before we scarf it all ourselves!].
