Funny how some stuff can happen.. so suddenly. It all started with a facebook group and before we knew it, we had 150 members.. now over 180 members and a new chat site and forum.

I just got a phonecall from the housing administration in Bergen op Zoom. Some time ago i could take options on houses, and in one of the neighbourhoods a house became available and i’m the first on the list.

Insecurities

In the last 2 years i have gone through quite a bit of changes. I finally had some real help with what was causing my burnouts but as a side effect it forced me to go delving deep into my own character and discover more about who i really am.

I play world of warcraft and have my own guild there. Lately some of my guildies have been hacked which resulted in some big withdrawls from our guild bank. Luckily Blizzard returns those items to the guild master so i can put them back in the guild bank again.

I larp at Vortex Adventures, and they have contacts with a bureau that organises festival kind of stuff.
Through them, VA was asked to do promotional activities at Walibi World, an amusement park that had a few days dedicated to fantasy.

Pigeons on my balcony

Today i put my balcony door open again, after it had been closed for the weekend coz i was away.
A bit later i found an egg shaped object in my backroom.
It wasn’t broken and it dawned on me. Thad pigeon that was checking out my balcony last week had actually nestled.

When i was visiting my parents yesterday me and my mom passed some really stunning trees and such. I couldn’t help myself and had to make some pictures. I love making pictures of plants from really close by, so you can see vivid colors and structures of the plants.

I got a notice that i am first on the list for an appartment in Bergen op Zoom. Wednesday i need to go up there for some paperwork, where they have to deem me ok for the appartment.

Follow up on the Job Applications

On april 2nd I did 10 job applications.
I wanted to see how the response would be and how companies would deal with applicants in this time of no jobs and financial crisis.

I don’t count to be hired for _any_ of the jobs i applied for. They’re all in retail, and even though they’ll give me some reasons why they won’t pick me, the only real reason will be that i’ll be too old. They’re not allowed to say that, as we have a law in the Netherlands against age-discrimination for jobs.

How about my family?

On the first day of easter, my mom and dad came to Rotterdam to visit me.
I took this as an excuse to do some serious spring cleaning, finally taking out my 3 seater that i inherited from my grandmother years ago.
I now just have my orange sleeping couch, and the little orange couch i got from my parents.
No more odd green in my nice light orange terra cotta room (except my plants of course).

Different

So yesterday I cut my hair. I have been cutting my hair for years, most of the time just putting it on a ponytail and cutting the last dead bits.
This time i figured somethign different, so i hung upside down, took my hair and well.. cut it. The result should be layered hair.
