Writer's Block: Childish Pleasures

<lj-template name="qotd">

I think it's more a matter of things other people think I should have grown out of by now. I don't think you're ever too old for video games and cartoons and Lucky Charms cereal etc. unless -you- think you are. And there's definitely something to be said for being young at heart when it comes to these things. Think about it; if everyone outgrew cartoons and video games at a certain age, we wouldn't have any of the people who create such things in the first place since everyone would've outgrown them before they were old enough to know how to make them.

Writer's Block: All Broken Up

<lj-template name="qotd">

I've always tended to be fairly indifferent about that sort of thing, possibly because 1) I haven't really been "in love" per se, at least not the way people tend to describe it (with all of the "oh I can't live without you" and that sort of thing) and 2) likely a cause of #1, I am completely unromantic. I get more upset that I've likely lost a friend than the whole "omg we're broken up!!" thing.

Meh. If you don't care about my money and lack-of-job woes don't click the cut below.

So I put in two more applications today. Neither is my ultimate Ideal Dream Job since one is very part-time and I'd need another part-time job as well to pay everything, and the other is most likely minimum-wage and didn't specify how many hours it is. I still want to get either (or both), would be nice. And I've still got a couple places that I've interviewed with that I'm waiting to hear back from.

In the meantime I've still got offers up to teach knitting or help people with QuickBooks, and I'm getting together some stuff I don't want any more to sell (whether it be online, in one of my parents' booths in antique malls if it's something good, or in a yard sale if it's just random crap).

Something has to come of something soon. I'm due for some positivity to come into my life after the shit I've gone through lately. Meh.

<lj-template name="qotd">

I've taken numerous varieties of the Myers-Briggs test. Some were simple and kind of snarky, others were longer and more traditional. I've been an INTP on every single one, as several people on my friendslist would know since I've posted results here before. It seems pretty accurate, especially given the consistency of my results.

<lj-template name="qotd">

It was really eerie... I had the news on while I was getting dressed and saw the part about the WTC, then heard the rest on the radio... I'll never forget it, my mom and I were driving through downtown with the radio on and they were talking about the Pentagon and the other flight crashing in the field, and by sheer coincidence all of the streetlights were out, and I remember commenting that it felt like the Apocalypse or something. Scary shit.

Writer's Block: The X-Files Birthday

<lj-template name="qotd">

Yay, X-Files!

Favourite episode is "Pusher". Cerulean is a gentle breeze... Really cool episode, awesome bad guy, lots of cool action type stuff (hey, it has Russian roulette, that's always exciting.)

I've had some random paranormalish stuff happen, but nothing as weird as the stuff on the X-Files.

<lj-template name="qotd">

Sorry kid, do your own damned social studies essay.

(Actually I don't know if that's what this is, but it sounds like it could be someone's social studies essay homework. That and I'm not a forgiving person so... yeah. My answers might be a little... off. *LOL*)

Writer's Block: Your Threads

<lj-template name="qotd">

Jeans with enough stretch that they hug my body without feeling way too snug (fav. pair is my off-black semi-skinny jeans; they are prevented from being true "skinny" jeans in that the legs are straight from the knee rather than tapered) and layered tops, usually a short-sleeve T over a long-sleeve (often striped or patterned) and either combat boots or some kind of cute flat (big on the cute flats right now since I can just slip them on and don't need to worry about socks or laces or any of that nonsense). My other favourite option if I don't do the layered Ts is a T (long or short sleeve) or blouse (often striped) under a blazer (often my red-violet velvet blazer that I've dubbed the "Willy Wonka coat"). Usually dark colours or black-and-white, 'though I've got a couple white longsleeve T-shirts or sweaters that I tend to wear a lot.

And lots of rings, my silver chain bracelets, usually wear circular barbell or hoop earrings, and my signature black eyeliner.

<lj-template name="qotd">

"What Dreams May Come". Taken from Hamlet, of course.

The reason for this is, as many of you know, I have some of the most vivid, strange, and amazingly cool dreams, so much so that I look forward to going to sleep in order to see what dreams I will have that night. So it's pretty much perfect for me.

<lj-template name="qotd">

I don't really remember what the first one was. Probably some picture I drew or text icon thing I made, just so that I'd have some icon to use.

My current default userpic is the one that hulaish made to go with the layout she made. :)

I quite liked the nickname, and I figured it'd make me easy to find to the initial group of friends I had on here, who were mostly from a group of online roleplayers that hackergroupie and I played with, and thus they were aware of the nicknaming. :)
