Names We Burned (1/?)
Title: Names We Burned (1/?)
Fandom: Super Junior
Pairing: Donghae/Henry, Kibum/Amber.
Rating: PG-13 for now. May increase in time.
Summary: Henry had thought that particular part of his life was over. He was wrong.
A/N: pulled the title out of my ass. Such a sorry excuse for a title. I need to start writing again and I hope this will get the ball rolling.
Henry had thought that that part of his life was over. He thought that he was out for good and everyone in the organization would leave him alone. And they did. Everyone did. At least, he thought so.
He knew that they still keep tabs on him. He could never really wash out the fact that he had been part of them. They needed to know that he wasn’t a snitch and would tell the police on them. They had to be careful.
But other than that, Henry’s life post-organization (that’s what he calls it) was normal. So fucking normal he actually thought that maybe he would be one of those people who would have a wife, three kids, a dog and a white-picket fenced house in the suburbs. Anything more peaceful and normal than that then Henry had to be dead. Which he hoped won’t be anytime soon. He had a college degree he had to finish.
It was a night to celebrate the fact that he didn’t fail college with his other friends in college. He didn’t know them very well and the only one he definitely did know was Kibum, who was studying law and was determined to get pissed drunk. Mainly because his girlfriend broke up with him, not because he didn’t flunk in the finals. The main reason Henry was here was to keep an eye on Kibum. And because Kibum wouldn’t stop singing some crappy eighties song until Henry said yes.
Time passed and college kids with alcohol behaved like college kids with alcohol. Henry was careful with his beer, he always was. Years and years of training were just ingrained in him. He had high alcohol tolerance, among other things. Henry knew that Kibum was seriously drunk when he declared that he’s swearing off women forever to Henry and wanted Henry to promise that they’ll both grow old together.
Henry wondered what happened to the rational, sensible and most importantly sober Kibum. Henry knew what alcohol did to people, but he thought all of this was over. He didn’t like things like this. Heartbreak was a shitty thing (especially when it’s a five years relationship) and alcohol, a depressant, didn’t make things better.
He sighed and called a number that belonged to a person he knew was responsible for Kibum’s state.
“’Sup, Henry?” She greeted with false nonchalance.
“Amber, get your ass over here.” Henry growled into the phone. Amber sighed and Henry knew he didn’t have to explain further but he wanted to throw in his two cents in. “I don’t know why you broke it off, not really interested about it right now but your boy is completely wasted and I think he just asked me to marry him. And it’s legal here in New York so this is seriously freaking me out. Kiss and make up. I’m pretty sure it was over something stupid anyway.” And without a goodbye, he pressed ‘end call’. Henry turned towards Kibum.
“Kibum. Someone’s coming to see you. I’ll just be outside, kay? I need some fresh air.”
Henry paid for his tab and walked out the back door. Maybe that was his mistake. He should’ve gone with the front door, no matter how crowded it was. Crowded means there were people and there are witnesses. Therefore it would be safe.
Henry found himself in a peculiar predicament when he felt someone push him up the wall of the back alley. His body tensed up, fist clenched and ready to fight but a familiar scent of cologne just stopped him.
He looked up to the attacker’s eyes and that was when he knew that he was deeply and thoroughly fucked.

A/N: OMG! My first chaptered fix, not really sure where I'm going with this (I have a vague outline on my college notepad, lol.) I hope I finish it. You are welcome to kick my ass if I don't update next week.
