Bat Walk with CultureWood CIC - Great Big Green Week

As part of Great Big Green Week 2026, come and join CultureWood CIC and Welwyn Hatfield Council for this exciting opportunity to explore Stanborough Park to learn about and hopefully spot some of the bat inhabitants.

8:50pm meet at north side carpark Stanborough (splash pool side) (whilst the bat walk is free, you will need to pay for parking)

9pm- start of talk (about 10 mins at meeting point to go over HS, use of equipment etc)

9:10/15 start the walk and talk

10:30 ish finish- depending on how slow we are walking around the lakes.

We recommend bringing torches (although their use is not encouraged during the bat walk) all other equipment is provided.

Wear comfy footwear

Please note that if the weather is poor- eg strong winds, persistent rain, that we will unfortunately have to cancel (as bats don’t like other rain or wind!) However we will let you know in advance of this.
