Begging for dollars ...
Hiya,
Well, I did something I normally hate to do yesterday.
A friend of mine has owed me $200 for about two years. Originally, she was going to come and help me get my house cleaned up, rather than paying the money back, and I was cool with that. Well, very soon thereafter, she decided that wasn't in her best interest, and she would be demeaning herself by doing that, so said she would just pay me back.
It's never happened.
I told her to take her time at the beginning. However, I've seen the rest of her friends get paid, and not even $20 come my way, and I realized last week sometime that I was starting to obsess and get really weird about the whole situation.
So, I called her, and told her I was starting to get weird about the situation, and could we come up with some sort of plan to start getting it paid back. She said that was fine.
I hope it gets paid off soon. I could use the money. And, I'm not sure if I want to be her friend anymore for other reasons, and I don't want the money to be the reason that I have to be. If we're friends, we're friends because we like to spend time with each other, not because one of us owes the other money. And I don't think she likes spending time with me. That's somewhat of a relief and a grief.
Life is so strange.
