Ramblings ...
Hiya,
Well, I'm anxiously waiting for tomorrow to come so I can see the review from the L.A. Times. I'm hoping that it's a positive one for the show AND a positive one for me. If it is, I'll be able to use it to help promote myself to agents, etc. Cross all your appendages.
I got another evening at home last night. Played EQ for most of the night, and while I was waiting for those annoying Blazing Elementals in Sol A to pop, I cleaned my bathroom. Tonight, I'll either clean the bedroom or the kitchen ... haven't decided yet. I have had NO time to clean the last couple of months, and the house is a wreck. The bathroom looks great now, though.
My finances are a wreck at the moment. And they're not going to get better this next paycheck. I was going through some of the stuff on my desk last night, and found two bills that I hadn't paid during this last pay period, and my first big installment of my auto insurance is due AND I have to get the truck smogged and the registration paid on it. Not to mention the poor truck is filthy. That has to get cleaned very soon.
LEC, bless her heart, paid the money back she had owed me, just recently. She still owes me $200, but I'm pretty sure I'll never see that money. It doesn't really matter. Next year will be easier financially, providing I don't do anything stupid and outlay unnecessary cash. Once my bankruptcy disappeared off my credit report about a year ago, I went a little crazy. After 10 years of NOT being able to get credit, suddenly I had lots of it. Of course, I don't regret the money (lots of it) that I spent on fixing up the house I live in or the new computer I bought. I still need to replace the windows and the floors at my house, but that will come in time. Of course, if R decides to move to California and live with me, I might have to forgo that part of the house renovation and just move. It's going to cost probably $8000 to finish fixing up the house ... and this time, I'm going to make sure I have the cash in hand, rather than credit.
K has also started making $50 payments ever two weeks on the money she owes, so that's going to help out a bit. She's worried about her job yet again. Poor baby, has gone through three jobs and five rounds of layoffs in the past two years. She's a computer tech, and of course, that particular market is VERY volatile at the moment. My day job is in bankruptcy, so we're doing fine.
Branagh, my dog, is getting old. I have to find some way to make it easier for him to get onto my bed. It takes him three or four tries to make it. He's such a sweet dog, though. Most people who see him are afraid of him (he's a pit bull/chow mix), but he only seems menacing when he's on the opposite side of the fence from you.
I haven't seen Aaron around since I had to kick him off my property. :::knock on wood::: Let's hope he's gone for good.
Alright, I'm going to pretend I'm doing something that I'm getting paid for. ;-D
