Monday morning ...

Hiya, Gentle Reader,

It was a very busy weekend.

Friday night, I was working on lines, and I got a frantic call from a girl from my acting class, asking if I could work lights for her in 45 minutes for a cabaret show going on. She said she said she'd pay me $50 if real money came in, and that if it didn't we'd negotiate. I said that was fine.

Worked for about an hour and a half, there were only 8 people in the audience, none of whom paid, so I just waived my fee. The show was very good, and the guy playing and singing is quite talented, so it was worth it.

It's nice to be able to be generous to somebody just because I can.

Saturday and Sunday, I rehearsed Sherlock Holmes. I'm onstage a LOT, but don't have a whole lot of lines, so I end up sitting. hehehe. Thank goodness, my feet would hurt.

Played EQ a bit on Saturday night and worked on lines some more. Same deal on Sunday.

I've found a sponsor in SCA, that seems to be very nice, and we've been exchanging e-mails. He's been giving me some instructions, and I've been doing my very best to follow them as soon as I see them. Sometimes my head goes, "Nope, I'm not doing that" and then I think, "Do you want to put this all behind you and do some healing, or are you going to repeat harmful processes for the rest of your life." So, I do it ... even if I'm a tad bit embarrassed about it all.

I am smoking like a fiend these days. *sigh* Oh well, I'll get that monkey off my back when I deal with it's brother.

I'm interviewing teenagers to work in our intern program at the theater this evening and tomorrow. It should be fun. If they're willing to work, and put up with my strange sense of humor, they're in. hehehe

Anyway, I'm at work by myself today, since the other secretary is up in Oregon meeting the mother of her fiance, so I'm going to log.

Peace y'all,
Travis
