Oriol Esteve, born in Barcelona in 1972, is a Catalan origami designer whose models are full of charm and personality. He co-founded Origami Always Succeed in 2013, a group dedicated to quick, creative folding that brings people together. Oriol’s designs often feature spirited animals and favor expressiveness over realism, encouraging folders to enjoy the playful side of origami.
His folds have a lightness and humor to them, yet each carries its own spark of character, as if the paper itself had a story to tell. Whether it’s a fox pausing mid-step or a raccoon peeking out with mischief, Oriol’s creations invite you to smile and imagine. He has authored three books—Stop Thinking, Start Folding, Fold with the Flow, and Crease Crazy—and his work has been featured in publications and conventions worldwide.
