From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was buzzing with life – laughter, music, and the smell of freshly brewed coffee. The glowing red “Good Vibrations” sign couldn’t have summed it up better – this place radiates warmth, creativity, and community. We ordered a round of drinks – a flat white and a couple of lattes – all perfectly made. The coffee was rich, smooth, and full of flavour, exactly what you hope for in a café that clearly takes pride in its craft. Alongside our drinks, we treated ourselves to some cakes from the counter. Every bite was delicious – soft, fresh, and full of that homemade touch that makes you want to go back for seconds. The setting itself felt relaxed yet lively. Families, students, and locals all seemed to blend together naturally. The staff were friendly and down-to-earth, creating an easygoing atmosphere that made us feel instantly welcome. You can tell they genuinely care about the experience they’re offering, not just the coffee they’re serving. A real highlight was the live DJ set – the music gave the afternoon an unexpected but wonderful twist. Our kids were loving it too, happily tucking into their cakes while we sipped our coffees and soaked up the sunshine streaming through the windows. If you are lucky enough to find yourself on the beach in St. Andrew, be sure to stop by DOOK Coffee after a walk along the beach. There is a great selection of drinks and air streem with a varied selection of street food. If you have a dog with you, he will be delighted, they have absolutely everything for them.

Great location and smiling faces. Cappuccino was very good. However, the cinnamon bun was very tough. I struggled to cut it with a knife.

Yes, well worth the extra mile through the Old Course to reach this place. A really cool vibe. Funk/rock on the speaker system when I was there one afternoon in June. Can of perfectly chilled Moretti £5.00.

The most wonderful little spot by the beach. Inside and outside seating, selection of human and pet treats. Coffee was fast and delicious as were the cinnamon scroll, cookie and bacon roll (no judgement please lol) 😋 The gentleman serving me was ever so kind and professional. What a cracker of a cafe

Wonderful little place with the tastiest sandwich I've had in a long time, and some pretty good soup as well. Staff were lovely and the dog ice-cream in the freezer was a bonus.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover the best almond croissant in the UK at Dook! A few weeks ago, during the Women's AIG Open, we visited Dook for the first time and tried their almond croissant—it was unbelievably delicious! Last Sunday, we went back, but sadly, it was sold out. Today, on our third visit, we finally got it again, and it did not disappoint. The croissant is perfectly flaky and filled with a rich almond paste. We also tried the Bailey soup, which was hot and absolutely delightful. The service is fantastic, and we really enjoyed chatting with the owner!
