Ok ya guys, here's the deal. We have an uneven number of videos (157 IIRC), so the video below got the bypass... sort of.

Instead of voting on it against another entry, simply say if you think it's good enough to make the next round or not. Do you find this OP impressive? Or boring?

To vote on this one, simply put "Bye-Yay" or "Bye-Nay." If the video receives more Yays than Nays, it will go on. But if it receives more Nays, it's down for the count.

...actually, getting all the OPs/EDs organized took a lot less time than I thought. There were very few doubles to go through. Thank you for being so organized, everyone~! Matches will be up soon, starting with OPs. I'll do them in small batches to avoid killing people's friends lists as much as possible, so please don't freak out if you don't see your nomination right away. I've got like, 150 openings here. Yeah, that's just the openings. XD;

Now, I'm sure you're sick of hearing my babble, but I want to answer a few questions that I just know will come up later if I don't.

What should I be thinking about when I vote?
My hope is for this faceoff to represent the music and video as a package (except in the song-only category, obviously). Other than that, I'm not gonna stand over your shoulder and tell you how to vote. Vote for what you lik

Man, that's a lot of videos. Do I have to vote on everything?
No. You may vote for as many or as few categories as you like, but hey, why not give checking it all out a try? You may find a new OP/ED or even a new anime to check out!

I gave you the true OP/ED with my entry, so why'd it end up in the song-only category?
Some videos that were given to me had been removed for copyright infringement, sadly, and a replacement version of the video could not be found, so I didn't have a choice. If you know where a replacement is, please tell me... before the first round ends. I don't want to get to the finals and have somebody come in all "HERP DERP I FOUND THE VIDEO." I'm alright with allowing the new vids a bye into the second round, but beyond that it's not really fair to the other entries.

Ewwww, the quality on that video sucks.
If you know the location of a better one, I'd love if you'd let me know. ;)

Why comment voting? Polls are so much easier. :/
For you and me both, but comments make cheating a lot easier to avoid. Sadly, that is something we have to worry about in stuff like this.

No, seriously, all the videos are up. Round 2 is about to start. Where'd my nomination go? I can't find it anywhere...
There were a few entries (and I really do mean a few. Like, two or three), that I felt drew too close to the explicit line, and I wasn't comfortable adding them to the face off. I did this with a lot of thought, and I apologize to the users who took their time to nominate those.

Voting Prep In Progress...

Hello everyone! Nominations are now closed!

As you may remember, I'd said the first set of voting would be up before nominations ended, and I apoligize that none are yet. When I saw how many nominations were flying in (which is fantastic, btw,) I realized that it'd be easier to just get everything sorted after noms were over.

And a few more notes here...

-If you check back on the nomination page between now and voting, you may notice your comment(s) vanishing! Don't fret on this; I just find it easier to keep track of what nominations have already been recorded by deleting comments once I have things down on my end. ^^
-If you notice some videos in voting that weren't in nominations, that's because I have favorite OPs and EDs too, you know! XD
-I saw a lot of people commenting with song-only videos, saying that the actual OP/ED is not available online. While I want the focus of this Faceoff to be on the video and music working together, I am working on a special category for OPs and EDs that only have the song available.
-As I am a slow person by nature, and Nano is right around the corner (yay my timing is horrible), please be patient with the first set of polls going up. ^^;
