I purchased Full-Terry Heavyweight Brennero socks in XL because I have experienced edema in my feet, ankles, and legs after surgery.

I am very happy with these socks as they are fairly easy to put on and take off, and they are not tight around my ankles/lower calf.

I am interested in purchasing other types of socks from OldWorldSocks.com for the summer season as these heavyweight socks, while great for winter, are a bit too warm for summer months.

I’m on my feet most of the day.  As a bigger guy I struggled to find socks that don’t choke my calves. These are a perfect fit.

At the end of the day, there is no mark (or pain) around my calves.

I would recommend these socks to my friends and coworkers.

Old World Italian Comfort Socks are the best socks and the only socks I have worn for many years.

Until recently I was getting them at a local retail mens store.  When they closed their doors I went on line and found that I could conveniently get them delivered directly to me.

I am diabetic and prone to swelling in my lower legs.  Most socks are too tight for me.  The Old World socks are perfect and survive many washings.

I would highly recommend them for anyone with or without the diabetes issue.

The Verona 301 XL socks are the most comfortable socks I’ve ever owned.

They do not slip or fall down, do not strangle my legs, and are not too hot or cold.

So far the person for whom I bought the first pair of these socks is really pleased.

They are comfortable, they fit well, cushion the feet, stay up, and most importantly do not bind — a first – as most socks that do not bind tend to slide down.

I purchased four pairs of socks to see if my husband could wear them as all of the other socks, casual and dressy, left marks on his legs and were quite sore at the end of the day.

My husband loves these socks and they did as the company advertised they would.

He said they are extremely comfortable around the calf with all over comfort asking me to purchase more for him.

I have in the past tried over 15 different types of socks in last year..These Old World socks are great!

I’ve tried endless amounts of socks that claim they are loose on top..some might be..but then the width across toes is cramped. Having a bunion already..that makes matters worse!

They are so comfortable. I ordered the padded ones. I know these are a man’s socks..however..I am a woman with size 12 wide shoe…and find they work out perfectly! I am glad my search is finally over.

My purchase from OldWorldSocks was exactly what I wanted to add to my sock drawer.

I have an athletic build and am not at all diabetic (“health nut”), but I still find that 99% of socks on the American market are simply too uncomfortable to wear because of their inexplicably narrow diameter and/or the “clamp from hell” on the upper elastic band.

However, there is no trace of any discomfort with the OldWorldSocks products – these socks have an effortless stretch which actually let you breathe, and their smooth fit stays unchanged after washing.

My only comment is that I would enjoy seeing a larger selection in the future, either in the design (I like the stripes, but maybe other designs?) or by offering heavy-duty, thicker “hiking” socks that would be good for cold weather.

I have thick calf muscles from working out and these socks are very comfortable for me in my work boots.

I am a police officer so I’m on my feet a lot. They don’t strangle my calves or my ankles and they are soft and make my feet feel good.

These are my favorite socks I own.

I’ve struggled to find socks that accommodate my intermittent lower-leg edema.  I have tried many so-called “diabetic socks”, and they are all still too tight on my calves and leave indents.

These well-made Italian dress socks are the first ones I’ve tried that really fit me.

They do the job!!  I love them.

I’m a big guy with large calves.  Previous socks dug into my legs and restricted the blood flow to my feet.  I tried wearing heavy athletic socks, but my feet would make my feet sweat. I tried thin synthetic socks which caused my feet to get cold in winter.

Old World Socks are perfect for me. They are comfortable to wear and don’t restrict my blood flow yet stay up.
