Ohio’s 2026 Sandhill Crane Count Results
Volunteer observers reported 344 sandhill cranes in Ohio during the 2026 Midwest Crane Count, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife. The count was coordinated by the Division of Wildlife, Ohio Bird Conservation Initiative, and International Crane Foundation.

Ohio Ramps Up for Annual Aquatic Invasive Species Landing Blitz
The Ohio Clean Marinas Program, a partnership of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Parks and Watercraft, the Ohio Coastal Management Program, and Ohio Sea Grant, is joining regional partners for the annual Great Lakes Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Landing Blitz, an international effort to educate boaters about aquatic invasive species.

ODNR Releases Groundwater Report on the Michindoh Aquifer in Northwestern Ohio
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Geological Survey recently completed a scientific study on the groundwater resources of the Michindoh aquifer in northwestern Ohio.
