I didn't say goodbye to 2019 last year and I think that was a mistake. I also didn't say goodbye to 2018 the year before.. also a mistake. So goodbye years! Goodbye 2020. See you all in the history books!

Whoops, must be 'getting salty about selling fanworks' time. I'm posting this here cause I don't wanna get into a thing on the tumblrs... but I feel like it's kinda ironic how folks get all up in arms about someone else profiting off of their creative work while simultaneously falling all over each other to, you know, profit off of someone else's creative work.

And, I mean, like, I get the difference between wholesale lifting of a thing and "transforming" an idea and the whole "no one can own ideas" deal, but I have a real hard time cherry picking that from getting upset that your thoughts and ideas are being sold while selling something made with someone else's thoughts and ideas.

I meant to write posts, but then I was like... I'll do it tomorrow... and then it was like over a month later and time isn't real.

Anyway, now the year's over and maybe I'll think about not letting multiple weeks go by without doing stuff????

I had a Christmas thought about F&B and I posted it on the tumblrs. It was about how we should have gotten a Christmas movie, like they could still totally make one... if Psych can do it then F&B can do it.

I've started watching Prodigal Son. I only watch for the serial killer father.

There's another season of the Magicians and I know I shouldn't watch because it's awful, but I feel bad for, like HA who really thought something was going to happen, so *shrug*

I don't know of any other tv. I'm useless.

The Year in Review Meme!
Post the first sentence of the first entry of the month for every month of the year.

Jan - I love when an episode of Cheyenne starts and Cheyenne is already in a Mood.

Feb - I had a whole page written out and then my comp restarted and dw decided not to save my typings so... *shrugs forever*

March - I keep seeing people on tumblr talk about how much they love Penny and I'm like... doubt.

April -

May -

June - I keep writing stuff and then not hitting post and then it erases and I'm, like, well guess that's not happening now.

July - OKay, so, s2 e4 of Cheyenne is like... oh geez. It's the one where Cheyenne meets a marshall who is also, like, a bounty hunter? And is then, naturally, betrayed?

Aug -

Sept -

Oct -

Nov -

Dec -

oof, rough one.

But, for the record... I still love Cheyenne.

OKay, so, s2 e4 of Cheyenne is like... oh geez. It's the one where Cheyenne meets a marshall who is also, like, a bounty hunter? And is then, naturally, betrayed?

But it also, like, makes for a perfect prostitute!AU?

Like this guy saves Cheyenne, and he's tall and older and a lawman, so of course Cheyenne is just fucking heart eyes from the go.

And there's this line near the end, where the marshall is, like, to Cheyenne, 'I told you a man could make good money like this'. And just, like, imagine Cheyenne thinking that he's fallen for this guy who's going to save him, and like really be all for him, and, I mean, that's Cheyenne's dream, right? Like for all his 'I wander' stuff, if some ranch owner or sheriff or something offered to house and feed Cheyenne for, you know, being Cheyenne, and not just for being a tall, buff end to a means? Cheyenne would never leave.

But he's always getting used. And, I mean, AU where he's, like, *getting used*. Ooof.

Anyway, I also watched (well half so far) Good Omens. And, I mean, it's DT, so... that's what he is, but it seems nice, not having read the book... parts of fandom are a mess, but what do you expect.

I keep writing stuff and then not hitting post and then it erases and I'm, like, well guess that's not happening now.

Anyway, I love the episode of Cheyenne where that chick comes into town to kill all the guys cause right at the beginning a little girl calls Cheyenne over to talk to him about how lonely her father is. And she's all 'oh, Cheyenne.' (also, I fricken love when people actually say, like, 'oh, Cheyenne') So she's like 'oh, Cheyenne, my father's lonely.' And Cheyenne's, like, mildly interested 'oh?' and then she's, like, 'he needs someone nice.' and Cheyenne's, like, very interested, 'oh?' and then the girl's all 'he needs a wife'. And Cheyenne looses absolutely all interest in the conversation, like he sorta goes 'well, best not to worry about it.' and then leaves immediately and it's so amazingly perfect because it primes him for being in a Mood for the whole episode about everyone falling over a new lady in town and not listening to or appreciating him. I mean, he's so bitchy this whole episode, he almost gets into a street fist fight, he tells a guy (the lonely guy with the daughter) in jail that he kinda deserves to get hung over not listening to him, and through it all the new lady who is killing these guys, like, totally clocks Cheyenne as (gay) not able to be swayed by her ladyness and also not dangerous to be around. It's amazing.

Oh Magicians. Ugh, I wish Q cared about El's body a little more. You know? Also, I'm entirely kinda dying over Penny!23 calling Q 'Coldwater'.

I watched the ep of Cheyenne where Dennis Hopper plays a train robber/exploder and he's so fucking small next to Cheyenne and Cheyenne calls him little man and there's some gay banter and I'm like... why didn't the studio pair those two up.

Stumbled across a 60's series called Time Tunnel which is about two guys lost in time after they go through an experimental tunnel in time and it's like half Stargate and half Sliders and at the end of the first episode one of the scientists (left in regular time at the government base the time tunnel is at) is like 'At least they have each other.' and if I hadn't been sold already that did it. They have the terribly generic names of Doug and Tony (and I can not tell them apart) and are scientists who only have, like, the barest and 'only there if the plot calls for it' knowledge of history. (like they landed during the revolutionary war, got captured by some redcoats, and were like 'I wonder what time we're in and who these people are??? Seems like a war of some sort???') But sometimes they get casually 60's type hurt and they, you know, only have each other, so they're very co-dependent and tragic about it.

I would like a remake of Time Tunnel staring Breckin and Mark-Paul. Where Breckin runs into the time tunnel to prove himself and Mark-Paul has to follow him in order to save his dumb ass and then they both get stuck in time forever perhaps. And every week would be a new and exciting time adventure and they'd slowly fall for each other because they're all they have and they don't know if they'll ever get home, but it's awkward confessing their love because they know that the whole government base is always watching them. But in one episode Breckin would probably tragically end up with some terrible historical disease and Mark-Paul would tenderly care for him and it would be so much worse than all the other injuries that they'd had before, like maybe perhaps Breckin truly wasn't going to make it possibly, so Mark-Paul has to say nuts to the government agents watching and tell Breckin his true feelings and maybe kiss him a little, even though that'd mean that Mark-Paul would also probably get the terrible historical disease, but that's okay because at least they'd die together. But then at the last moment the government would move them to another time where they could be cured and now Mark-Paul has to live with his feelings and love confessions and it's awkward, but then probably not because they figure that they're never getting back to their own time anyway, so screw it.

Speaking of Mark-Paul... the end of The Passage gutted me and I am dead and I need Mark-Paul to be in every postapocalyptic disaster scenario ever now.

Project Blue Book had it's s1 finale and it was also tragic because scientist guy was kind of cruel to the military guy who loves him a lot now. Because aliens.

I love that Ed still has his issues on The Orville. Like they kinda glazed over that whole thing, which should have been a big reveal and stuff, in the first season, but it's nice if they're gonna casually bring it up every so often.

Watched an episode of Maverick where Bart gets shot and Bret's kinda a dick about it and, like, that's the good stuff.

It's weird, cause, like, they did Maverick to have a different kind of hero, you know, like, one who... wasn't a hero? I guess? But they had Cheyenne? Like, did they think that Cheyenne was a typical run of the mill hero? Like Mr I'm in a Mood / I don't like you so I don't want to help / I've fucked everyone's life up and now I'll leave immediately / I do not have any issues or second thoughts about killing people Bodie? That's... kinda selling Cheyenne short on how much of a, well, dick he can be. Like I guess maybe because Cheyenne was law-abiding (like, when he agreed with the law and when it suited him and without regard to it screwing up anyone else), while the Mavericks were more... gambly? wussy? kinda overtly weasely? But ultimately they still end up doing the right thing. Like, I mean, they're both living by their own grey moral code, like, I wouldn't consider Cheyenne's moral code to be fully white hat and stalwart. Right?

Also, I can not believe that Maverick is more popular, like it got a remake and a movie and it's like... Cheyenne was right there the whole time and no one cares.

Also also, I also watched the ep where Cheyenne bosses that cattle drive where the guy dies and Cheyenne takes over even tho no one wants him to and pushes everyone and they're all 'he's not human' and mean to Cheyenne and I love that ep so much. And I love that he gets shot at the end. And I love that everyone only cares about him because, basically, he gave them money and had reasons for doing things and Cheyenne is like 'this is what real friendship is' because he does not know what real friendship is because all of his relationships are fucked up.

It was about how much I'm enjoying The Passage. Like, I don't know if I'd like it as much without MPG, because MPG seems to be enjoying himself and he seems like he really likes the little girl and it's all very sweet. And also I have feels about Jared meeting this not!Peter (I keep forgetting that his name is Brad...? like who names a character Brad?) and not!Peter is soft looking and strong and brave and not afraid of dead bodies and is very good with children and is also hauntingly hetero, but, like, he still looks like Peter and it kills Jared. I also don't know if there was a new episode of Monday because I forget that this show is on Mondays.

Things that are also on Mondays is I Am The Night where Chris Pine plays a drugged up reported who's life is a disaster and in the first episode he gets beat up by the cops and he has war related ptsd and I love him because he's garbage.

I keep trying to watch Project Blue Book, which is the History Channels new fictional series that's based on, uh, project blue book... but they went like full in and are like 'the aliens are totes real' and they kinda have some gay russian housewife shenanigans going on (or they would if they weren't cowards), but I find it very hard to pay attention to, even though it airs at least six times during the week, but I watch episodes repeatedly and still don't entirely know what's happening.

The Orville has been very romance heavy lately, which would normally turn me right off, but, idk, there's just something, like, really sweet about everything The Orville does and so I'm just sitting there dying over the cuteness of Clair and Issac and crying that an alien is getting sentenced for being too hetero. (also, Brotus def needs a divorce) Still don't want Ed and Kelly back together tho. (did entirely love how high Seth's voice got with his little 'oh no...' is the latest ep... I'm also really enjoying seeing him eat things on screen. He was dodging it in the first few eps if the first season, but I like that he's maybe feeling more confident about it now)

I missed one of The Magicians eps, but caught the latest one and every single time I'm just entirely shocked that Josh is... you know. Like, gasp out loud shocked that I keep forgetting about it. And I don't really care about Q, but him being so tragically sad over El is love. I also entirely bought the thing about El, but then it was okay, probably. I also also still love Penny!23, even if he's not the same as orig!Penny. His devotion to Julia (I'm glad about her status) is presh.

The last episode of Cheyenne always gets me. The sheep. The doneness. The wandering. It's all so amazing. I cry.

I've been watching Maverick more cause it comes on after Cheyenne. I think I can basically tell the two apart now. They restarted the series from the beginning and they just played the first ep with both Mavericks and at the end of the ep they had the girl of the week talking to Bart with Bret playing poker, Bret says that he'll be right back, they close zoom on the girl and when she looks back over Bret's standing there and Bart's gone to the poker, like, oh hey I'm back... and it was such a blatant 'these character's are interchangeable and we will interchange them' I almost couldn't believe it. (also, because I'm an old school deviant who doesn't care about fandom's sudden poohpoohing over fictional incest... they've totally traded off during sex like that)
