Serving Up Solutions for Seniors: Meals on Wheels Campaign

OCES’ Nutrition Program is facing a budget deficit that could threaten essential meals for vulnerable older adults in our community.

As a part of the March for Meals campaign, led by Meals on Wheels of America, this year’s theme, Serving up Solutions, highlights our commitment to providing nutritious meals while supporting seniors’ health and independence.

Our Goal is to raise $20,000 = 2,352 Meals
(This is approximately a week’s worth of meals)

Thanks to Craig and Diana DiGiorgi, donations will be matched up to $5,000, doubling our impact

An Important Announcement!

The Boards and CEOs of Old Colony Elder Services and South Shore Elder Services have signed a Letter of Intent to explore a strategic partnership. This partnership is focused on strengthening and stabilizing services for older adults and individuals with disabilities, as well as the community partnerships that are vital to this network across the South Shore and greater Plymouth County regions. Both organizations share a long-standing commitment to ensuring that older adults and individuals with disabilities can remain safe, supported, and independent in their homes and communities. As organizations across the aging services sector face growing financial and workforce pressures, we are taking proactive steps to ensure the long-term stability of critical services in the region. This effort reflects a shared commitment to responsible stewardship of essential programs and to ensuring that the individuals and families who rely on these services continue to receive the support they need. The organizations are now working together to develop the details of this potential partnership and will share additional information as those plans are finalized. Throughout this process, the priority for both organizations is to maintain continuity of services and provide lasting stability for consumers, families, providers, and the broader community.
