Weganda Gallery operates under the Weganda Foundation nonprofit organization, which has published The Weganda Review literary quarterly since 2023. The gallery was launched in May 2025 by founding curator Rodney Muhumuza, who put up a show of his private collection in an exhibition that sought to democratize the love of art in Uganda.
My role on this project was to create an online collection of the gallery’s catalogue including paintings and sculptors.The goal was to create a highly visual yet simple website showcasing the art works of various artists and collections in Uganda. The website is created using Blocksy theme, ACF and a custom plugin to handle the creation and rendering of the collections CPT. SEO is handled using the Rankmath.
