(This is Kinda Long, and I forgot how to make it shorter by adding a html to it... Candace how do you do that again?)
Monday, my sickness didn't clear up in time for me to sing at the audition. My voice was killing me. On B Days, (we have different schedules every other day, so, I have an A day with a set of classes, and then a B day with a different set of classes), I have Chorus in my last block and I was warming up after we were finished with our lessons. I was so nervous. After class, I had calmed down, but right when my professor said "OH, I forgot we had auditions", I got really nervous again. I wish I hadn't had gone first, because at one point my voice cracked, since I hadn't warmed up enough ( I guess there's always next year). She laughed though when I did crack. When I was about to get into the most powerful part of the song, she told me I could stop and it was pretty. I won't find out until a week or two from Monday if I've gotten it or not. I'm so excited to see the results. That afternoon I went jogging, and I got about half a mile from my house when I heard a huge clap of thunder and the whole cloud lit up (it had been sprinkling up until this point). I decided it would be a good idea to turn back around, I'm scared by lightening storms. I've heard so many stories about people getting hurt really bad by lightening, I'll go hide under the covers until one is done if it's loud enough. As I was running back, as fast as I could, I started to pass by this property with loose dogs on it. One dog in paricular was mean and had huge teeth. The black dog stopped in front of me, in the middle of the road, and far be it from me to try to pass it with it gnarling at me like it was. By now it was POURING rain. I was getting soaked. I stood there for about four minutes, just slowly walking on the road, practically inch by inch. Guess what, this is the other thing I'm afraid of, dogs with huge teeth and bad attitudes. I've had some really bad experiences with them. So, because I was just standing in the cold rain at dusk, and my whole body getting soaked, now I'm sick again, and I either have fluid in my lungs, or a sinus infection or something. But it's not a cold, because I'm not coughing. When this happened, I wasn't thinking about how stupid this was, and recently, I did something even more stupid, so I decided to make a list of the top 10 stupid things I've done. 10. Procrastinated so much on one of my school assignments, that I had to stay up way to early for the night before it was due.
9. Not save my Summer English Work after about two hours of working on it (almost had it done) and then all the sudden the electricity went out momentarily.... Oops, there went all my work.
8. Ran while it was raining, and when I wasn't completely sick (that paragraph above).
7. Putting Italian Sprinkles (christmas time cookie) into the microwave and burnt them, I was supposed to change the microwave setting to baking oven, and then let them bake. They were as hard as brick.
6. Rushing past my mom with a Birthday cake in her hands.... I'm sure you can imagine what happened next.
5. Asking my Grandmother about my promise ring when I was 8, she had just given my sister her promise ring. "When do I get my promise ring Grandmommy-Shaw ?" "When you turn sixteen sweetheart !"
"What if you aren't alive by then??" (Loud Laughter from my grandmother) (from my mother) "VANESSA MARIE!!! HOW DARE YOU ASK THAT!!" (from my grandmother) "Aww, that's my granddaughter, exactly like something I'd ask!" 4. Getting into a pen fight with my sister, and then realizing later she was using a permanent marker against me. 3. Riding on my bike away from my mom, taking a sharp turn, and skidding on my face (on pavement). 2. Thinking that climbing a tree wouldn't be dangerous, and that nay limb could support my wieght, when I was 6, I decided I would imitate Tarzan, and I leaped up to grab a very odd looking limb..... WHAM!..... the old limb and I fell to the ground. And drumroll please, the number one stupid thing that I HAVE EVER DONE.... Monday night, I decided I wanted to pierce my own ears, a second hole, and one in the cartilage. Well, I'm obviously not experienced in this subject, because, if I was going to attempt to do this, I should have at least marked where I was going to puncture them. It didn't hurt, I just missed a couple of times, but Tuesday, I decided I didn't want a second hole... after I already punctured them, several times. When the infection (both of the lobes started), I thought it would be a very good idea to just let them grow over. But I'm keeping the cartilage one, it's fine. But, I'm still stupid for this.
