さようなら、ホモサピエンス

『さようなら、ホモサピエンス』は、2025年大阪・関西万博のシグネチャーパビリオン「null²（ヌル二乗）」の全貌を記録したドキュメンタリー映像作品である。2019年の初期ロケハンから万博閉幕の2025年10月まで、約6年間にわたる壮大な記録。

null²は、仏教の「空（シューニャター）」と計算機科学の「null」という二つの概念を二乗することで生まれた空間だった。鏡膜に覆われた建築の中で、サブウーファーの振動が空気を震わせ、来場者は「無の二乗」を体験する。その体験は言語では伝達できない。だからこそ映像が必要だった。

インタビューには哲学者、ロボティシスト、僧侶、ジャーナリストなど多様な知の領域から語り手が参加。彼らはnull²の体験を通じて、それぞれの視点から「ホモサピエンスの先」を語る。

"Farewell, Homosapiens" is a documentary that records the entirety of null², the Signature Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka. Spanning six years from initial location scouting in 2019 through the closing of the Expo in October 2025, the film captures the birth, life, and death of a space born from squaring Buddhist sunyata (emptiness) and computational null. Featuring philosophers, roboticists, Buddhist monks, and journalists, each speaking from their own perspective about what lies beyond Homo sapiens.
