Security Tool for Android is a comprehensive security app that protects smartphones and tablets from malicious apps and dangerous websites.

The "security features" that come standard with FLET'S Hikari Next, provided by NTT West, can be used on smartphones and tablets with Android OS.

*This also applies to customers who are using the "security tool" with the FTTH access service provided by the Hikari collaboration operator. (Depending on the FTTH access service provided by the Hikari collaboration operator, the standard "security tool" may not be included.)

・"IPv4 and IPv6 communication" (including name resolution) is possible in the FTTH access service connection environment provided by FLET'S Hikari Next or an optical collaboration provider (Install this application and update the pattern file in a FLET'S Hikari or other connection environment.)

■About the permissions required by the application
*The following permissions are used for each function of the product
*Accessibility: Collects visited websites through the Accessibility Service API and warns if a malicious website is detected
*VPN: Collects visited websites through the VPN Service API in a specific app selected by the user and warns if a malicious website is detected
*Run in the background: Protects the device even when this app is closed
*Overlay on other apps: Displays important alerts on the display screen
*Location information: Used to check the safety of Wi-Fi connections
*SMS and notifications: Scans short messages and notifications and warns if fraudulent ones are detected

■Note■
・To use this application, you need to have a contract for FTTH access service provided by FLET'S Hikari Next or an optical collaboration provider in the NTT West Japan area.
・The cloud search function for malicious app protection, app permission check function, web threat protection function, harmful site blocking function, etc. provided by this app are provided by Trend Micro Inc. The web threat protection function uses a VPN to enable protection functions for some apps.
・If you are connected to the network (Wi-Fi, etc.) of your FLET'S Hikari contract line but the message "Cannot connect to the FLET'S Hikari contract line network" is displayed and you cannot set it up, you may not meet the operating requirements.
