New changes for 2017

April 5 to 15 - Nominations
April 15 to 18 - Corrections
April 19 to 30 - Sign ups
May 3 - Assignments go out by the latest
May 5 - Madness collection and prompts open
July 3 - Stories due
July 11 - Main collection goes live
July 12 - Madness collection goes live
July 14 - Author reveals

The new changes are as follows:

1) Announcements will no longer be on LJ, just the DW comm and as such, this will be the last post on this comm. ETA: The DW comm is npt-admin.

2) Nominations will be through platonic or romantic (/ or &) relationships instead of characters. That means matching will be done through OR matching and not AND matching.

3) If you want to nominate a single character, you can do so through nominating 'Character & None' as a tag (ie Derek Hale & None). Three or moresomes will be allowed if they're already AO3 canonical tags.

4) You can request minimum of 1 relationship and a maximum of 8 relationships in each fandom. You can no longer request Any, however you can still offer Any.

5) Requests will be visible midway through signups. The anonymous author period will be shorter as well.

See everyone in a month for nominations on the DW comm!

End of round feedback

This is Not Prime Time's fifth year running. With this year's round at a close, here's an opportunity for you to say know what you liked, what you didn't like, what you'd like to change, etc for next year's round. There's no guarantee everything suggested will be implemented, but everything will be read and thought about. Anonymous commenting is allowed.

Individual comments won't be responded to, though there will be a reply if someone asks a question.

Hiatus Resolution collection is open for both previous participants and non-participants who want to write completed fics over a thousand words. Here is 2016's requests in a txt file. If you don't have a particular person you want to write to, there is always gifting to NPT_Producer.

Not Prime Time 2016 and Prime Time Madness 2016 are officially over and authors have been revealed. You may now respond to your comments if you haven't already done so via anonymous author replies. :)

I'd like to thank everyone who helped make Not Prime Time a success - from the lurkers to the participants and our pinch hitters to the readers and back again. I finally have a break from studying, so today is going to be my day of finally reading fics that weren't my gifts. I'm excited! :D

Feedback post will be posted either today or tomorrow.

You can scroll through all the works and use the sorting buttons to find what you are looking for (by title, date updated, word count, hits - both by highest and lowest, etc). Opening on time and forward dating

The last pinch hit is in and we are on track to open on July 11th at 9:30 am Eastern (use New York if you need to convert time zones). I will give an hour warning before the collection is due to open, so if you want to do some last minute editing, you have some time.

Since someone asked me in an email, I'll give the same opportunity to other people. If you have more than one gift waiting for you and you want to know if you were double assigned or if those are treats, you can email to find out which fic is which at notprimetime AT voiceofserenity DOT com.

While the collection is still unrevealed, since these fics are in medium (or bigger) fandoms, chances are those fics won't be on the front page of said fandom. As an option, if you'd like, go ahead and forward date your fic (discretion is advised). This way your fic is on your fandom's front page when the collection opens. Otherwise, when the fics are revealed, it probably won't get any foot traffic from people checking out new fics in the fandom because it'll be a few if not more pages back.

To do this, you'll need to edit your fic and scroll down until you reach the Associations box. Towards the end of that box is a ticky box for "Set a different publication date." Ticky it to set the date to July 10th, July 11th or some other date. Then scroll all the way down to click on Post Without Preview.

Collection opening on the 11th

There are currently 3 pinch hits out and are due today. I didn't set an exact time, so whenever today. Good luck, pinch hitters!

We are currently on time to open on the 11th. The tentative opening is 9:30 am Eastern (use New York if you need to convert time zones). It's an earlier time than previous years, but unfortunately, I leave early for school and that's the latest I can leave it in my time zone on the west coast. If it can't open at that time for whatever reason, it'll have to be pushed back to 2 am Eastern on the 12th because I'll be in the cadaver lab all day into the night.

Let's hope for the early opening! \o/

Treats over 1k can be placed in the Not Prime Time 2016 collection while treats under 1k and non-fic works can be placed in the Prime Time Madness 2016 collection. After the main collection opens, any size fics can be placed into the madness collection.

If you are having some difficulty in coming up with tags for your story, here are some questions that might be helpful. Tags are not mandatory and you can take or leave the suggestion below. This is only meant for those who want to tag, but don't know what to tag.

What kind of story is it? (Fluffy, Angst, Hurt/Comfort, Character Study, etc)

I started my grad program yesterday, so please give me some time to answer emails and comments. I gave a quick lookthrough of fics and didn't find obvious placeholders. Yay! There were a few formatting/no space issues in a few fics I found, and plenty who were tagless (tags aren't mandatory, but highly recommended), but there's still time for that.

If you have a draft in the collection, please post it. Drafts can't be read by anyone but you and they do not count as fulfilling your assignment.

• Not gonna lie. Kind of what someone who’s powerful enough to take Solas down a peg or two. Maybe the Forgotten Ones can slip through the cracks and into the Fade on occasion and one stumbles across Solas. (Thought: what if the Forgotten Ones weren’t necessarily evil, but they were the gods that just didn’t hide what they were like the Evanuris did? Like there is a “god” of the dead, the desperate, the forsaken, the forgotten, when really he takes care of those who come to him, though they were willing to [and did] die for him. Maybe Solas’ desperation reaches him even in the Abyss?)
• Or it could be something darker where the Forgotten one is truly a monster. Maybe Solas is forced to make a deal and/or have sex with one to save the others. Magic gone wrong (right!?). The Nightmare demon fight taking a different turn.
• Body horror - Basically any sort of body transformation situation (someone's changed into an animal/monster, stomach bulging from tentacles/cum/eggs, etc.) so long as it's not deadly (so dragon-hybrid Dorian would be fine, but no Red Templar Cullen for example).
• Different Origin - Basically I was wondering what is the Inquisitor was a one of forgotten ones.
• GIANT WOLF SOLAS? Solas with wolf characteristics (claws, fangs, growling, knotting, etc).

I can't officially request the same fandom twice with multiple groups of characters, but I'd also be interested in seeing Iron Bull/Cole if you are so inspired.

• Not going to lie. I’d really love to see something here where Cole gets aroused from kill bad people. Maybe Cole wonders if that makes him a demon and seeks Iron Bull out to kill him. Maybe Iron Bull notices and seeks Cole out himself. Basically I want something where Iron Bull helps Cole embrace it.
• Cole liking/drinking blood of those he kills.
• Service Top - Bull being whatever Cole needs.
• Bull doesn't see the world like most people (because he was raised by the Qun, because he was Ben-Hassrath, etc.), and Cole tries to understand.

• Rookies kneeling for Jagr, Jagr kneeing for someone.
• Post win fun
• Jagr's lasted so long because he's an incubus who feeds from his teammates.
• Jagr sets up gangbangs/hookups for his rookie(s), maybe even pimps them out (mostly consensual here please).
• Closeted veteran and an adoring but straight rookie. The rookie is super affectionate and very open about his admiration, teammates love making jokes about puppy love, the veteran knows it's just hero worship but finds it hard not to enjoy the attention and develop a crush. Maybe even acts on wishful thinking, leading to painful awkwardness. Alternatively I would be interested in something where the player is very closeted or even a gay for you situation rather than straight.
• Jagr has a somewhat deserved reputation of being a love em and leave em type. What if he found someone who he didn't want to leave?
• Jagr kinks on the age difference.
• Accidental (group?!) soulbonds complicating things.

Billy Bones

I recently discovered this show and proceeded to binge watch everything there was for it in under two weeks. It is utterly brilliantly written, and I love everything about it. While all the characters are fantastic, Billy was a clear fave for me with his steady loyalty to his brothers despite the world having kicked him in the teeth on a regular basis. Totally a Hufflepuff, and I can’t help but love that. (It doesn’t hurt that Tom Hopper is gorgeous and 6’5” and I would climb him like a tree). I also was utterly enchanted with “literate pirate storyteller with bonus quill feather” that we got later in the series – as a writer, it was a bulletproof guarantee that I’d latch on to his character hard.

Mostly, I’d love to see Billy actually have a good day for this fic – seriously he has a hell of a time of it in the series, and I’d like to see something go his way for a change. Shipping wise, my faves are Billy/Abigail Ashe and Billy/Charles Vane (though please limit the dub con/non con elements that could crop up for this pairing), but I’m actually not a fan of Billy/James Flint. If you aren’t a shipper, asexual!Billy would be fantastic as would gen. I’d be especially interested to see him interact with any of the show’s fantastic ladies – he shares very little screen time with them in the series, so I’d be intrigued how a conversation might go between him and Abigail, Anne, Idelle, Miranda, Madi, or Max, perhaps. Basically, let him talk to a lady – he’s allowed LOL.

I enjoyed basically the entire cast of this movie, but really Herc’s who I’m focused on for this exchange. Something about Max Martini just kept my attention no matter who was on screen with him, and considering the gorgeous cast, that’s saying a helluva lot.

That said, I would LOVE some het-smut for him if you fancy that as there is very little to be found for him. Pairing wise, I’m good with his canon wife Angela (everybody lives much? *grin*), Mako, or even trio’d up with the Kaidanosky couple and/or Mako and Raleigh together. Hell, I’d be thrilled with a semi-anonymous OC too! Just make him the focus of attention please.

Also, if you want to go the canon character deaths route, I really would love to see him get some kind of closure and healing after the film, whether on his own, or with Raleigh and Mako supporting him as friends (or even as lovers). Also, we know we’re getting a sequel at some point – what do you think would happen for Herc if that movie hits? Does he dive back into the battle as a pilot or help to lead a renewed Shatter Dome? Or does he wrestle with returning at all? Basically, I’d just like Herc as the focus of a fic that ends up on at least a hopeful if not outwardly happy note.

Typical me to fall for a pairing LONG after one of them has been killed off on screen (this is what happens when I’m waiting to binge watch seasons on Netflix – le sigh). But yeah, Beth/Daryl (or Beth & Daryl if you don’t want to go the shippy route) had such a fantastic connection. I’d love anything with these two as long as they are both alive and well and as happy as is possible at the end of the world. Anything from fixit fics of any kind saving her life whether by stopping the abduction in the first place or having her escape the hospital or even complete AUs where zombies never existed could be fantastic (fave AUs are listed in my Like List btw).

OK for real, if Netflix wanted me to ship Karen/Matt, they should have kept Frank off screen, because holy HELLS that chemistry. It was a little ridiculous, and I want so much more of it. They were both just so fascinated by each other – the dynamic is so fraught with so many bad ideas, but I can’t help but wanting all of it. Karen as the investigative reporter just hits all of my competency buttons (her interactions with Ellison were surprise faves for me), and Frank, oh bless him Frank – his very dark, very wry stealth sense of humor got me every time, and I just ACHED for him. While yeah, I ship the hell out of these two, gen/friendship fic would definitely be welcome, though I’d prefer they weren’t dating other people in the background.

This show was just a laundry list of all the things I love best in fic, from the badass ladies, to the cryptids/Abnormals, to the Steampunk details showing up in Helen’s history and all of Henry’s tech. Just too much fun!

This is definitely another one where I ship it like Fedex. All through the first season I hoped this pairing might end up happening. Henry was so blatantly crushing on his young buddy, but never pushed at her, and I really liked that aspect to their relationship. Plus I thought they made a really interesting partnership with her being the one physically stronger at first glance, but only because he chose not to embrace the physical side of his shape shifting. Plus courtship through fun weaponry just made me smile like a loon. I’d been good with a pre-Ashley’s abduction fic or an AU where she survived or was found alive. Mostly I just want to see these two being adorable together.

Don’t be too intimidated by the overly-shippy prompts, though. I’d be great with Abnormal Hunter!Bros with these two, as well.

I'm not a big Hoechlin fan, so I would love to read about Dylan interacting with any of the other Teen Wolf cast members (feel free to ship him with anyone else you like, including his RL GF). Fun, flirty banter thrown in would just make my day.

Prompts:
-place the character(s) on the Teen Wolf set in a trailer talking (or doing other things)
-in some secluded room after the characters sneak away from some big party
-traveling to or from somewhere exotic/being on vacation
-going to a Mets game
-just chillin' at home with no reference to Hollywood; etc.

I have no objection to including references to the actors' other projects or Tyler Posey's band. :) I would also be happy with an angst-y Dylan if you want to go that route (but I do like happy endings) - either angsting about the state of Hollywood, his (lack of) time with family, or his upcoming projects. A fic about his past, before Maze Runner, would also be interesting.

I should add I'm a fan of JR Bourne, Holland Roden, TPose and Crystal Reed if you feel so inclined to include any of them.

Fandom: Agent Carter (TV)
Jack Thompson, Daniel Sousa

I'm a shameless Jack Thompson fangirl. I think it's interesting to watch him struggle with his moral compass (or lack thereof). I also think it's important that he isn't sure who he can trust or who he can be friends with - but at the end of the day he always appreciates Sousa and Carter and their ability to be so selfless/honest. I'd love some Thompson/Sousa (esp. if it's antagonistic love).

Sousa is such a great hero, and seeing him save the day is wonderful. I really like his role as a leader who is able to see many sides to a situation and take charge when necessary. In that vein, case-fic or a coda/expansion/missing scene of a season two episode would be so great.

Seeing the characters discuss being Chief/their ambitions/their past (with each other or with Carter or with someone else) would be great. Witty banter is an excellent plus. I like introspection & angst, and I'm fine with ambiguous endings.

Peggy and Steve saving the world is my favorite thing. A snapshot of their time together in the theater of war would be fantastic - whether it's stealing soft moments on the front lines, worrying about each other during separate battles, or planning/carrying out a mission. An alternate universe where Steve isn't frozen or where Peggy finds him would be so fun. I like their ability to work as a team even without talking. I also like how they are both natural leaders. I am also into some Peggy and/or Steve angsting and dealing with the after-effects of war.

I definitely cannot overstate how much I like domestic fic here. I generally always like domestic fic, but seeing Peggy and Steve doing something mundane would be so interesting and such a contrast to their high-powered lives.

At the end of the book Nita and Kit suggest to Penn that he needs to talk to Ronan. This conversation did not happen in the book and I would love to see how people think it went. Did Ronan do it immediately or did he put it off because his first impression of Penn was hilariously bad and the Powers had to engineer a coincidence to get them in the same time and space? Did anything productive come of this discussion or did the two of them just spend the whole time being aggravating at one another? Is Penn aggrieved that at least Ronan got to find out about his unexpected passenger by a girl kissing him? And how much does Ronan have to stop himself rolling his eyes while wondering if Nita has mellowed out, because the Nita he met in Ireland would have turned Penn into slag?

Deadline has past (about 30 minutes now) and I've been lightly checking to see who has a fic and who doesn't. I'm about to default those who haven't contacted me and haven't uploaded a fic. If I've made a mistake, let me know. However, pinch hits won't go out until tomorrow, so if you upload between those times, that'd be awesome.

Contiunue editing if you're editing. I'll be actually clicking on fics and checking for obvious placeholders and incomplete fics by the 5th. This includes wikipedia articles, gibberish, [Insert scenes here], works in progress, etc. Expect an email from me if I find them. This doesn't include fics with a lack of header information like tags, titles, or summaries, though I'll email about those closer towards the collection opening if I spot them.

The collection is still open if anyone wants to sneak anything in. There is also the Madness collection for non-fic works and fics under 1k.

Have a happy 4th if you celebrate it/want an excuse to party.

Sing me the song of Harper McIntyre (SHE HAS A LAST NAME NOW! ALL REJOICE!). I LOVE this delinquent, who has gone through so much pain, who hasn't broken even if she has fractured and is still putting herself back together, who has made bad mistakes (STANDING ASIDE TO LET THE MASSACRE HAPPEN) but has also done everything in her power to make up for them (OH MY BABIES WITH YOUR ANEMIC LITTLE RESISTANCE CELL). I love Harper, and if you love her too, I want to hear you tell a story about her!

Any kind of story you like. Gen, femslash, het, whatever -- though I'm not looking for either Clarke/Bellamy or Clarke/Lexa here, even as background pairings. I love pretty much every character on this show except, like, Titus. I have very deep, very weird feelings about Jaha and Murphy that you will probably not understand/agree with, that's okay, I shame myself for them on a regular basis and you don't have to feel like you have to include them. I love, love, LOVE Monty, Miller, Jasper, Raven, Octavia -- pretty much all of the delinquents, most of the Grounders, most of the Arkadians, so include any other characters as you see fit.

Things I would love to see: Angst! Hurt-comfort! Fluff! Action/adventure! Slice of life! Mystery! Intrigue! Gallows humor! Mutual healing! People who really need to heal but don't want to openly talk about it, sort of hanging out vaguely helping each other! LADIES HELPING LADIES.

Specific prompts: Backstory: what did Harper do to get thrown in the Skybox? What did they do in Skybox when they weren't being assaulted by their science teacher? Missing scene: Harper befriending Miller (especially if he's all grumpy and pretending he doesn't want to be friends), hanging with Monty and Jasper in the camp at the Dropship, doing her damnedest to survive Mt. Weather, spending time (making time?!) with Monroe. Alternate universes: Harper loves ghost stories, what if she was IN a ghost story (or other kind of supernatural tale)? Or: I cannot be alone in thinking Harper would make a FANTASTIC pirate. Or: literally any kind of AU, I love AUs. Star Trek fusion AU? Coffee shop AU? It's all good.

So, I love Shawn/Gus/Jules/Lassiter both in a shippy OT4 way or just a platonic fourway friendship kind of way. Within/aside from that foursome dynamic, I love when the characters get switched around or paired off in odd ways ("Feet Don't Kill Me Now" when Gus is Lassiter's partner and it works surprisingly well? Holy CRAP I love that.) I love that Shawn and Gus get Lassiter out of trouble, and that Gus is still convinced in later seasons that Lassiter did kill that guy.

Of the non-OT4 ships the only one I'm super invested in is Shawn/Lassiter, though I love all combinations of 2 or 3 of those characters being friends (Shawn & Gus? OBVI. Juliet & Lassiter? TO DIE FOR. Gus & Juliet & Lassiter? AMAZING AND ALSO YOU KNOW SHAWN IS POUTING SOMEWHERE ABOUT BEING LEFT OUT, HAHA.) I think Lassiter/Marlowe is ADORABLE, so if you want to write that or include her at all that would be awesome! But, you don't have to.

I really love scenes where Juliet gets to be good at her job and where she's not getting totally pushed around by Shawn -- I love "If You're So Smart Then Why Are You Dead?" when Lassiter is "teaching" her all his the rules, and her jokes about how many rules there are, and her trying to scare Shawn off and Lassiter being all pleased and proud in the background. I love the Juliet-Lassiter friendship and them working together, so any scenes like that would be great!

I love Karen Vick, if you include her at all I would be overjoyed. I love her sort of pragmatic attitude, like "well this guy is probably lying about the psychic thing but as long as he gets the job done I don't really care". I love that scene with Vick and Juliet when Vick is warning Juliet that she has to be extra careful as a woman on the force trying to make friends, and Juliet being like "I thought we were friends" and Vick is like "We're not". They have such an interesting dynamic but we get to see very little of it.

Specific prompts: Any kind of casefic, especially if the case itself is sort of unimportant or minuscule but the characters are all taking it EXTREMELY SERIOUSLY (like, Lassiter and Shawn and Juliet all getting hyper-competitive over who can solve the case of the stolen lunchbox or whatever). Going undercover. Someone besides Shawn has to pretend to have psychic powers for some reason. Any kind of role reversal -- maybe a fic where Gus gets to be the super sleuth, or Shawn has to be a stickler for the rules and Lassiter and Juliet get to go rogue. Going on vacation together (it would probably be, like, Lassiter went on vacation and Shawn found out his plans and invited himself & others along too). Literally any kind of AU, stick these goofs in some weird situation and see what falls out (I wanted to do a rock band AU back when USA Network was running that "Private Eyes" promo for the show, but never did).

Just give me anything with Jo Lupo and I will love you forever.

Seriously, I can't stress enough how much I love Jo Lupo. I love how strong she is, but also her vulnerabilities and insecurities -- and how she compensates for those by acting INCREDIBLY TOUGH, DO NOT MESS WITH ME, I WILL SHOOT YOU, ZANE/CARTER/FARGO/WHOEVER. I love that the universe keeps knocking her down and she keeps picking herself up again. I love that she has this little sense of whimsy and humor that you have to look carefully for -- that she's the world's best secret santa, or when she's laughing at Carter when she had the same dream as him "there is something funny about Sheriff Carter exposure" -- just these little moments of tenderness and laughter. I love the whole episode where she's going on walkabout and is so, like, angry and focused and determined about it, like "I AM GOING TO JUST WANDER AROUND AND FIND MYSELF. IS SHE HERE? NO? WHY ISN'T THIS WORKING," just, oh Jo.

Character combos: I love, love, love, love her friendship with Carter, it is one of my favorite platonic male-female friendships. (I like to pretend all that bullshit with Allison being jealous of them in season 5 never happened.) I do ship her with Zane, but partly that is because I love how awkward and complicated their relationship is, so if you write them I like if it's not a perfect fairy tale romance. I love her being friends with Fargo and with Zoe, when they aren't fighting over Zane. Or hell, even if you want to do a future fic where Zoe is older I feel like there could be some interesting Jo/Zoe possibilities? Henry is a great character too, I feel like he and Jo never spent a lot of time together but you can fix that now and write them!

Specific prompts: I love robots. Deputy Andy, or new robots, just anything with robots is awesome. I love all the old sci-fi tropes that get trotted out in every sci-fi show: time loops, traveling through alternate dimensions, frozen in time, clones, telepathy, de-aged character (LUPO BABYSITTING CARTER AS A SMALL CHILD, WOULD IT EVEN BE ANY DIFFERENT FROM THEIR NORMAL INTERACTIONS), any of those old staples. I love that this show didn't try to pretend it was the first sci-fi show ever and had references to things like Terminator and was very genre savvy. I love non-sci-fi tropes, too: amnesia, curtainfic, road trips, slice of life, etc.

Explorations of Rex are always welcome. In Clone Wars time period, as Order 66 goes down, after the Empire rises, or even all the way to original trilogy if you like. Character exploration strongly preferred. I ship him with Cody, with Obi-Wan, or with Ahsoka once she's grown up (so pretty much either after the series, or in AUs where she remains and grows into being a Jedi). If you have some other ship you like, go ahead and try it out on me!

Ahsoka? I am MAD in love with her, from bouncy tiny Togruta menace to elegant and deadly grown Togruta Rebel. Again, character exploration strongly welcomed. I ship her low-key with pretty much any of her normal ships, though Bariss Offee hurts my soul a little.

Padmé is near and dear to my heart. Interactions with any clones or other Jedi not Anakin would be rocking awesome. I admit I am strongly in the camp of her and Anakin's romance being a Force of Nature, but I don't mind them being poly and letting others in, or her having the ability to choose lovers of her own during their hidden relationship. Facets I love to see highlighted in her is her dedication to peace... while also being an utter badass. Exploring politics is also more than welcome.

Shaak Ti? I just love the idea of her interacting with Ahsoka. Or showing her interacting with Padmé. I'd love mention of her friendship with Plo Koon (more if it suits you). Basically, please show me more of this elegant lady.

Feel free to mix and match the people requested, use the characters that make the most sense as support for your work, or just focus on a single one. AUs are okay, from the ones where events change all the way up to the change of setting; I'm finding some of those have been great to read.

There's a little over a month before stories are due. How is everyone doing with their assignments? If you think you need to default, please do so early.

Whether you're still plotting or writing or haven't begun at all, I will be having word wars in #yuletide all Sunday long (Instructions on how to log in.). Word wars are designated times where you 'race' other people in writing or however you choose, usually for 15 to 20 minutes each war.

This account is meant for those who have stories that don't quite fit their recipient's wishes or for those people who wanted to write a particular story but had no one to gift it to. Nick Burkhardt, Sean Renard, Juliette Silverton

I ship Nick/Renard/Juliette, but I love gen just as much, and I also love every individual axis between these three characters. Wherever you put the focus, and whether you go gen or ship, it's all good. Nick and Renard have been antagonists and allies, have protected and deceived each other, have every reason to distrust each other at times - and yet so far they've always ended up setting their differences aside when it matters. Renard and Juliette have always had amazing chemistry and, after Juliette became a Hexenbiest, had something fundamental in common. Nick and Juliette had a very solid relationship but never quite acknowledged their underlying problems until Juliette's transformation brought it all to the fore and everything spiralled out of control. And in season 5 Nick and Renard are confronted with a version of Juliette who refuses to be Juliette, perhaps isn't able to be any more - who has found a desperately needed stability in being blank-slated Eve, either not able or not willing to (re)connect with the people from her past.

I'd love a story that brings all three of them together at any time during the show. The three of them working together for the case of the week? In s4, stopping Juliette's downward spiral before it goes too far? Nick and Renard breaking through Eve's conditioning? An AU where they meet under different circumstances - maybe Juliette met Renard first? I'm particularly fond of stories that deal with trust issues, demonstrations of loyalty, and unexpected displays of support. But what I want most is the three of them ultimately being good for each other.

Fandom: Highlander: The Series
Methos, Cassandra (Highlander)

Methos with all his contradictions is my favourite Highlander character - the world's oldest immortal but "just a guy"; history and living in the now; self-mockery and hard-won wisdom; evil and redemption, and so on. His relationship with his past as a Horseman is particularly interesting to me - and with Cassandra, the one victim from that time who's still alive. She's one of the most fascinating characters of the show in her own right - the second oldest Immortal we know; a survivor in so many ways; someone who's managed to keep adapting and live in the present. And then she gets confronted with her earliest memories and the horror of the Horsemen again ... I'd love a story about the two of them, coming to terms with their shared past - in the immediate aftermath of the Horsemen episodes or later (reluctantly cooperating for some reason?) - and coming to an understanding.

Fandom: Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles
Sarah Connor, Catherine Weaver

Sarah Connor has been my hero since T2 (which I actually saw before T1), and I've been especially fascinated by Sarah's (and John's) relationships with terminators - the ones that weren't just trying to kill them, that is. From "Uncle Bob" in T2 to Cameron in SCC to "Pops" in the latest film, it's such a fraught and complicated thing, uneasy and compelling. and I could never get enough of it. And then there came Catherine Weaver. To me, she was one of the most interesting figures in SCC, which isn't lacking in interesting figures: a Terminator whose own relationships with humans are every bit as fascinating as Sarah's with "her" Terminators. A Terminator with an undisclosed agenda - someone who might or might not be an enemy. Raising an AI and a human daughter. In some ways she and Sarah parallel and mirror and contrast each other, and I always regretted they never really got to interact. I would love fic that focuses on Catherine and Sarah, interacting - as enemies, allies, or something in between, at any point during the show or in the future, gen or slash.

Fandom: Legend of the Seeker
Cara Mason, Darken Rahl

Cara is so many things that I love: a formerly evil character with a redemption arc; a stoic, closed-off introvert giving tantalising glimpses into their emotional landscape while remaining mostly closed off and an introvert. A bisexual woman whose sexuality is never censored. And Darken Rahl has his own complexities, starting with his complicated history (growing up hearing that his brother will eventually kill him; his deal with the Keeper, which he's later desperate to escape). Darken's relationship with the Mord'Sith especially is fascinating - many of them are loyal to him in a way that can't be explained simply by his being Lord Rahl. And ever since Reckoning I've been fascinated by the complicated power dynamics between Cara and Darken Rahl. Even when she's unequivocally serving him she's not at all afraid to challenge him, and he keeps wanting her back even after she's betrayed him in the worst way. I'd love any story that explored Cara and Darken Rahl and the complexities between them at any point in the timeline.

Geno and Artemi bonding during the World Cup, each happy with the relationship that forms and nervous for how there country will receive them? Jonny and Artemi drunkenly hooking up after a win? Geno and Jonny coming together because the men they want don't want them? Jonny visiting Sid and Geno and becoming their third partner? All four of them getting together at the World Cup for reasons of plot?

Q (Bond - Craig movies), James Bond

Q is such a fascinating character and Craig brought so much to Bond in terms of backstory and emotional depth. I love that both of them are so fiercely independent yet both so clearly in need of a hug. I love that they come together with their flaws and manage to fit the edges together, even its rocky. I prefer that Q is as badass as Bond, because he really, really is.

I'm happy with whatever direction you'd like to take this. Bond and Q frantic because their lives aren't guaranteed, Bond and Q spending a day in, Q being the seducer of Bond for a change. Absolutely anything.

Dexter has such a strange view of family, and I don't see how he could have anything but. I'd like an exploration of what family- parents and siblings and his wife and children- means to him, how it's become twisted. I'm open to incest with either sibling, but am perfectly happy with a gen piece of that's not your jam. I'd like to see what happened when Dexter ran off with Brian, what could have happened if Debra shared his dark passenger instead of being afraid of it, what happened when Dexter AND Debra ran off with Brian, living the lives of killers.

- Leverage's newest client is Hardison's Nana.

– What this show really needs is a heist sequence. Give me a plotty action sequence where every sensate gets to play to their strengths and I will be thrilled.
- Lito comes out publicly and the other sensates support him along the way, each in their own particular way.
- Capheus discovers a unique way he can help the other sensates besides his driving / hotwiring.

- One of the sensates is going through a hard time, and one or more of the canon pairings comforts them from afar by having loving sex and transmitting all the good feelings.

My favorite thing about these three characters are their antics, hijinks, and shenanigans. I would love to read a fic about these three getting into a thoroughly ridiculous situation, bantering at each other, and somehow finding an unlikely way out of it. Light-hearted, funny, and action-packed is what I'm going for here. Gen or OT3 preferred. Some prompts:

– I'd love to see more of Gaby's spy skills, which didn't come to the fore until the end of the movie. Show me an adventure where Gaby saves Illya and Napoleon.
- Illya, Gaby, and Napoleon get into an argument over who can do a Spy Thing better and compete to find out who wins.
- The team runs into someone Napoleon conned / stole from in the past who is out for revenge.

I would love to see more of Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon as adults showing how well they work together and how much they care about each other. Either a pre-The Phantom Menace mission or during some downtime. I loved this movie. It was a balls out, no regrets, feel the burn of every f-bomb dropped, bloody carnage-filled romp of a superhero flick. I adored everything - the humour, the constant breaking of the fourth wall, VANESSA, NEGASONIC, the soundtrack. EVERYTHING. It all worked. Perfectly.

I'm pretty open for this one. I'd love a superhero team up adventure with Ellie and Wade, and (non-superpowered) Vanessa as the brains of the operation. If you want to explore the idea of Vanessa getting powers/becoming Copycat (I'm not very familiar with comic canon, so please feel free to ignore or include what you want) how about a training session with an over eager Wade and totally uninterested Negasonic (bonus points if it's at the X-mansion and Colossus makes a cameo). What does Ellie's tumblr/twitter look like? What happens when Wade hacks it and starts posting his own random and wacky shit?

I'm really looking forward to the same tone and hilarious dialogue of the movie. Ship wise, I'm all Wade/Vanessa.

This movie is my happy place (which, may be odd to some, since it's a post apocalyptic wasteland) but it's perfect for me. It's the movie I can watch over and over and find some new thread to tug on that I want to see unraveled in fanfic. It wasn't easy to narrow it down to only 3 favourites (plus, I seriously considered just saying fuck it, and give me all the Furiosa) but I went with:

Furiosa - because, obvs. I'm drawn to strong female characters, and I especially loved her because in Fury Road she was given the typical male hero arc. I'd love to see her past explored with the many mothers, how she and the Wives initially met and how they plotted their escape (I know this was done in the comic, but I hated it, so much - such a wasted opportunity that felt like it was written by someone who hadn't watched any of the movie), what happens after the citadel falls - now that she has found her redemption, what's next?

Max Rockatansky - he wanders the Wasteland, surrounded by the dead, a waking dreamer. But eventually he returns. What brings him back, and can anything make him stay?

Toast the Knowing - Toast, having grown up in the Wasteland, can shoot a gun and drive a rig. Does she try to reclaim that life from before? Find her family or her tribe? What is her relationship like with the other wives now, and what role has she taken after overthrowing Joe? Basically I really adore Toast, so any story that expands her background or shows me what's to come is welcome.

Ship wise, Furiosa/Max is my OTP. Slow burn, healing, respect/friendship first. I don't ship him with the others, but I love platonic/friendship Max and Toast. Referencing past abuses from Immortan Joe is ok but please, nothing explicit.

Ok, I know I'm not the only one in saying that S2 of Daredevil was the Frank Castle show. Completely. I wasn't even a fan of Jon Bernthal going into it. Plus, I really didn't have much knowledge about the character of the Punisher (aside from the basic premise of the mob killing his family and he dedicates his life to killing criminals in retaliation). But sweet baby jebus, Frank Castle owned me this season. (Insert Kermit flail at the news that there's going to be a Punisher spin off!).

In Season one, I wasn't a massive fan of Karen. S2 was a huge change - stronger, more assertive but still struggling with the blood on her hands. I love her connection with Frank as her client and her obsession to redeem him and maybe on the way find her own redemption (*not that I think she did anything but act in self-defense with Wesley*).I love her friendship with Foggy (my other unsung hero of S2) and I love seeing her working at the Bulletin, following in Ben's footsteps.

I ship these 2, so so hard. It's a pairing that can't work, so it hits all my angst buttons. I'd love some post S2 continuation of that connection that was so blatant on screen. Gimme all the fireworks and the fallout afterwards.

If you're not into shipping them, I'd still love any interaction with these two. But please no Matt/Karen.

I'm really a Marvel girl at heart, but a friend convinced me, FINALLY to try out the Flash this year. God, she was right. I loved it. All of it. This show is my feel good happy hour of TV. And surprisingly (to me, anyway) it's not all sunshine and rainbows.

It hits so many of my fandom tropey loves: found families (Barry/Joe/Iris and Barry/Cisco/Caitlin/Harrison[s]), AU freaking heaven with all the of the other versions of Earth Barry can access, strong female characters (Iris! Linda! Caitlin! Patty! Lisa!), awesome sidekick Cisco and so much more. I love all the DC easter eggs that pop up constantly. Like, I said, it's my happy hour of tv.

It took a while for me to figure out what I wanted (I was this close to clicking ANY) but my found families weakness won out. One of the best things about this show for me is the bond the S.T.A.R. labs gang has. I love Barry and Caitlin's karaoke night, Harrison's insistence on calling everyone by their last names, Cisco's love for naming all the metas, and all the little things that showcase what makes them a team. I know things have been darker lately and that this Harrison is often a dick (but a loveable and unintentionally hilarious one), but I love them as a unit. If you want to show them on some downtime that's awesome or if you want to do an epic battle with Zoom (who's the man in the mask?!), or an epic tale on another Earth (Cisco having another meeting with Killer Frost or another doppelganger?), go ahead.

Ship wise, I like Lisa Snart/Cisco and Caitlin/Ronnie but I'm pretty open to Barry (I like Linda and Patty, Iris too) but ships definitely don't have to be the focus here.

Remember how I mentioned I was really a Marvel girl? Yeah, DC tv has totalled that theory. I started watching this show just because of Snart. I gotta thing for this type of broken boy badass who (maybe) conceals that heart of gold.

Snart is all snark and drawl and he leans fabulously around the Waverider, doling out his particular brand of sarcasm.

You really can write me anything here - I would love to see teen Snart and how he hooked up with Mick and their adventures in crime out of juvie or he and Lisa pulling their first job together. Send the team to your time period of choice to retrieve an item that could kill Savage and have Snart make that era look good without even trying. What if he and Sara were stranded like Ray and Kendra were? Or he and Mick?

Shipwise, I'm pretty open - I'm in agreement with Wentworth on how he views Snart's sexuality, but I do have some favourites: Snart/Sara or Snart/Sara/Cassandra. I do enjoy Mick/Snart/Sara and Snart/Barry as well. But please no Snart/Lisa.

If you're not into any of my Snart pairings, I love his friendships with both Sara and Mick, as well as his interactions with the rest of the team.

I don't even know where to start with this, but I do love Cisco, as a POC and a geek. I'd love for him to play a big part in the story, and I admit, I do have a weakness for 'locked-in' fic--what happens if a random gaggle of Flash characters get locked in a place (a bank vault, a quarantine lab, a mall, whatever)? Crack is just as welcome as serious fic. If you want to keep it non-smut, that would be fine, too. I ain't picky. I'd just love to see some of my favorite characters being awesome together.

Assignments have been sent out so check your email inboxes (or Spam folders). The deadline for stories is July 3. If you haven't finished writing your letters, please do so as soon as possible to give your writers time to write your story. Keep an eye out for mod emails to the email assigned to the AO3 username you signed up with in case I have to contact you for questions from your writer. If your assignment doesn't include a letter, check out the posts on on LJ | on DW in case they posted there. If there are no optional details/letter after a week assignments have come out, writers have mod approval to write whatever they want, provided the fic matches requested fandom and character(s) (if recipient requests more than one character, the writer has mod approval to use how many requested characters they see fit for the fic, including just one requested character out of the bunch).

Your assigned stories and treats over 1000 words should be uploaded to Not Prime Time 2016. Stories under 1000 words as well as non-fic works should be uploaded in Prime Time Madness 2016.

NPT_Producer is live. This account is meant for those who have stories that don't quite fit their recipient's wishes or for those people who wanted to write a particular story but had no one to gift it to. The NPT Producer is here for you! The producer, however, is a busy person, so can only thank you for the work, but you are guaranteed that thank you comment.

As well, treats can be uploaded early, with or without recipient already tagged if you want to keep the surprise a little longer. We have the list of who is assigned to who. Treats won't randomly become main gifts unless absolutely necessary and we'll ask the treat writer first.

All requests will be revealed when the Madness collection opens for uploading on May 5.
