NEXT Warfare Innovation Continuum (WIC) Workshop
Date: 21-24 September 2026
Location: Glasgow Hall, NPS Campus Monterey, CA
With one overarching design challenge, teams of junior officers and early career engineers will be facilitated through a rapid concept generation process using tools of warfighter-centered design. Each team will present their best concepts on the final morning of the workshop, and these seeds of ideas will inform class projects, thesis work, and research across the NPS campus throughout FY27. Topic will be announced soon and registration will open in mid-July. Check back!!
Warfare Innovation Continuum (WIC) Workshop: THE FUTURE FLEET
Date: 22-25 September 2025
Location: Glasgow Hall, NPS Campus Monterey, CA
With one overarching design challenge, ten teams of junior officers and early career engineers were facilitated through a rapid concept generation process using tools of warfighter-centered design. Each team presented their best concepts on the final morning of the workshop, and these seeds of ideas will inform class projects, thesis work, and research across the NPS campus throughout FY26. Topics of interest within this year’s challenge include Allies & Partners, Artificial Intelligence, C-C5ISRT, Future Hybrid Fleet, IFCs, Joint C2, Long Range Targeting & Fires, Maritime Industrial Base, Maritime Space, MOC Ops, Sea Control, Seabed Warfare, and Sustainment.
