Tune in tomorrow for the next chapter in my fathers World War II story taken from his love letters to my Mom.

Hard to imagine why they are still cleaning up after all the nastiness. We were in a church in Cologne Germany that still had bullet holes visible, It really made my stomach turn to see that and think about it all. Construction began on it in 1200’s. It made me wonder how many other historical buildings were lost to wars.

Very true, They may not have been tough when they started, but those who survived became tough!

There are places that still have bullet holes and cannon holes from the Civil War..it is sad to think of what everyone had to endure in all these wars. So much is lost and nothing is gained because we keep doing it over and over again. It is people like Nancy that help us to remember and hopefully one day learn, thank you Nancy for sharing your father’s story with us.
