Still here?
Tea party
nothingtoyou

I haven't been here for a very long time, and my life has changed drastically. I don't recognise this person any more. I just decided to stop by and see if Holiday Wishes was still running, and was very pleased to see that it is. If anyone is still around, do say hi.

Hiccups? Try a spoonful of vinegar. Instant cure.

Cold. So very cold.

Apparently the recommended room temperature to keep warm in winter is 21 degrees C.
A temperature drop under 16 degrees can dangerous.

My current room temperature is 10 degrees. I can see my breath on the air.
My house - as pretty as it is - is damp and cold.
I can't afford to heat it for more than a couple of hours each day and so I freeze.

No wonder I'm ill.

Things that are pissing me off today
Tea party

The dog warden being an utter bitch about me actually trying to find the owner of the dog that I saved from being squashed by a bus, and pissing about with how long we can foster the dog.

My TV and DVD player being left on standby, wasting electricity, instead of being switched off properly, at the plug.

Having to constantly fish things out of the bin to recycle them rather than them being just put on the side of the sink so I can sort and wash them.

Not having a new housemate lined up and the time creeping closer to having to sign one up or move out.

Painters turning up when and if they feel like working on the house, breaking my plants and generally invading my privacy without an end in sight for when they'll actually finish the job.

Feeling anxious and depressed again, all day, when I though that I was mostly better.

People who bitch about stuff on LJ rather than dealing with it properly at the time.

This takes a while to load up but is well worth looking at for the art as well as the figures.

Green website?

I'm looking to get a website set up for the Friends of the Earth group that I'm co-ordinating.

I want to buy a website from a company that uses renewable energy (preferably UK based) and I wondered if anyone has experience of using such a thing. If you do, please let me have the details?

Christmas Cards

I got a fair few Christmas cards this year.

And since it's nearly time to take down decorations and put Christmas away until next time I thought I'd put in a word about what to do with your cards.

I re-use the fronts of mine, cutting them up and turning them into gift tags for next year.

Most of you won't want to do that (but if you live near me, feel free to pass me your cards!).

So, what you can do is take them to be recycled.

The Woodland Trust is trying to collect 100 million cards to recycle, in order to fund the planting of 24,000 trees in the UK.

Recycle your cards instore at Tesco, WH Smith, TK Maxx, and M&S until January 31st. Just drop them in next time you go shopping.
