[Estelle is in the kitchen making herself some Udon. Something nice and warm for a cold day, and also just something to do so she's not tempted to go outside today. She's seen the network posts and believes it best to stay indoors, not wishing to be involved in today’s curse. Taking a spoon, she gets a scoop of the noodles, taking a taste. They're bland and in need of something to give them more taste.

Getting another spoon out, she spots Yuri out of the corner of her eye.]

Yuri, would you please come and taste this? I'm missing something, but I don't know what...

[He backpedals into the kitchen, eyes quickly glancing around to make sure that it was, yes, safe to be near another human being. He was also being careful not to get too close to anyone - he remembers this curse all too well.]

Sure you just don't need a dash of love?

[Chuckling, he comes up behind her, intending to take the spoon from her-- but instead his arm wraps around her waist, pulls her close as he ignores the udon entirely and kisses her unabashedly, eyes closed.]

[He clears his throat before a cough can emerge. It's been a tough couple of days what with Mithos and Sodia - especially for Flynn. Yuri's been quietly checking in on the other every now and then to make sure he's...well...okay.

When he gets to the last step, Hamlet, the house doggie, appears, whining in concern.]

Hey there, Hamlet. You been looking after Flynn for me?

[He chuckles and bends down to give the dog an affectionate pet-- before groaning and falling to his knees, device clattering on the floor and shutting off.]

[The female Yuri laughs low and mischievous, arms wrapping around her male counterpart's neck.]

Well, we're back.

[Yuri laughs a little, both relieved and disbelieving.]

Did we see anything out there? Yeah. Did we come back with souvenirs? Not unless a few scars count.

[Yup. They came back empty-handed from the expedition trip! While results would have been nice... Yuri's pretty glad they came back alive. He didn't think it'd be that easy to escape, anyway. Though he had at least expected deserted islands or islands full of beasts or something.]

This world's either really small or it's got a pretty bad sense of humor.

[If you run into Yuri around town, he looks just as tired as everyone else. Sword hangs limply at his side, posture a little more slouched, and the energy lacks in his eyes and grin.

The last time he was cursed with this, he remembers the death of his friends.

This time, he experiences Flynn's death and possible second death over and over and over and over and over and over again. Sometimes he hallucinates the gun in his hands, fingers curling around the foreign, alien shape.

The video, though, shows him fighting almost robotically - while he doesn't need it to keep himself awake (nights of no sleep aren't new to him, after all), he needs the distraction.]

He pops a small yellow thing - candy? - into his mouth before stabbing his sword into the ground (rather than the being before him, someone who will look quite familiar to a few people, though the expression may seem alien). Blue light forms a small circle around him.]

[It doesn't heal him completely, but it's all he can do as he quickly backsteps away from Gremio's clone.]

[Yuri runs toward the fallen body, all panic and without sword as he holds the body close. The conversation isn't at all clear, picture blurred and speech muffled, but the lifeless form is clear, the air still crisp and sharply silent. The video fades to black-]

[The video reappears again with Yuri's body straddling Tyr's, hands wrapped bony and determined around Tyr's neck.]

Killing... an innocent person... is revenge?

[Yuri gives a mirthless smile, mouth moving in response but the video cuts out once more.]

All right- I know the deities aren't always the most trustworthy, but even they can be useful. If you saw their helpful post yesterday, you know what I'm talking about.

Buildings three, six, nine, and twelve - clear these areas, and we may be able to actually get somewhere. If you guys have any better ideas, I'm sure we'd be more than happy to hear them. But as of now, the harpies keep coming no matter how fast we bring them down.

It'd be better if we split up into groups, so if you can fight, tell me now. Don't want us all to go to building three and leave the others behind, right?

As a harpy flies toward him, he crouches to meet it mid-air, but as he jumps, a sharp but burning pain blossoms from his stomach, stretches across his back - he loses focus and falls to the ground again, almost bent-double.]

[Shallow breaths. This isn't what he needs right now. He comes to a shaky stand, but the harpy is still barreling toward him.]

He continued to stay curled up next to Flynn that morning instead of running off to training immediately, wondering how all this romantic stuff got all complicated on him.

He still cared about Ino, that was no question. But he cared about Euph, too, but was it in the same way? As if he had any idea.

So instead he tugged the covers away from Flynn, pulled the device from the nightstand, and checked the Network. Even with all these complications, life still went on, right? A little later, he switches the audio on.]

There's an orphanage here, right? Did the kids get anything for christmas? Or a decent meal? It's a little late, but better late than never.

[A sigh as he shifts in bed a little more, another realization hitting him. This one is just absolutely depressing.]

[There's a stir, and the video is conveniently on a nightstand and the camera directed right on the bed. Two figures are huddled beneath a thin blanket, and one groans, shifts, and finally gets up.

The blankets fall to reveal bare shoulders, just the slightest hint of breast. The figure moves to the side and reveals more skin, but thankfully long dark hair and fluffy little clouds cover just enough.]

Hey, Flynn. Get the hell up.

[A softer, slightly more feminine voice. But Yuri roughly shakes his best friend, not quite realizing his new body, yet. Too groggy...]
