Jounetsu Tairiku provided a rare glimpse into Hideaki Ito’s life, not only as an actor, but as a person. While many are familiar with the images they have seen of him on screen, it was great to have Jounetsu Tairiku show a different side of him that is rarely visible.
Because of his long career, people have a certain perception of him; however this episode revealed a person who lives a very simple life and places his family above all else. This is an aspect the public never gets to see.
The standout part of this episode is that Hideaki Ito is not afraid to grow old, nor is he afraid of taking on new challenges. Instead, he embraces change and continues to evolve professionally and personally. I hope this episode allowed viewers to see beyond the image of Hideaki Ito, the actor, and understand who Hideaki Ito is, as a person.
