If you'd ask him what his path looked like after retrieving his memories, Atem probably wouldn't have answered in any way that was close to what his life was now. Ruling another country ... the world, even, Neo-Tokyo (Domino? Neo-Earth? Who knows) alongside the new Neo-Queen Serenity had not even been an idea he was aware he'd have at some point. But after such a long and intertwined journey with her, there was no way he could turn his back now.




And so taking up a new royal style next to his Queen, he seemed at least somewhat capable of taking the helm again. Adding a child to the mix though possibly complicated things. But a what would a marriage be without a new baby girl? It was just another endeavor the two rulers would take on together, side by side, and be greater for it.

He wasn't quite sure of his role yet though; primary caretaker seemed to sometimes fit him, but Serenity was the child's mother. Then again she also seemed to rule more aptly than he did. Sometimes he wondered if she was just dragging him along for the ride. After leaving the throne room the wander the gardens today he was thinking that very thought, yet somehow it didn't truly bother him. This might have been more her world than his but he would never feel sorry for watching over it together with her.
