Neutral Good A neutral good character does the best that a good person can do. He is devoted to helping others. He works with kings and magistrates but does not feel beholden to them. Neutral good is the best alignment you can be because it means doing what is good without bias for or against order. However, neutral good can be a dangerous alignment when it advances mediocrity by limiting the actions of the truly capable.

Race:
Halflings are clever, capable and resourceful survivors. They are notoriously curious and show a daring that many larger people can't match. They can be lured by wealth but tend to spend rather than hoard. They prefer practical clothing and would rather wear a comfortable shirt than jewelry. Halflings stand about 3 feet tall and commonly live to see 150.

Class:
Sorcerers are arcane spellcasters who manipulate magic energy with imagination and talent rather than studious discipline. They have no books, no mentors, no theories just raw power that they direct at will. Sorcerers know fewer spells than wizards do and acquire them more slowly, but they can cast individual spells more often and have no need to prepare their incantations ahead of time. Also unlike wizards, sorcerers cannot specialize in a school of magic. Since sorcerers gain their powers without undergoing the years of rigorous study that wizards go through, they have more time to learn fighting skills and are proficient with simple weapons. Charisma is very important for sorcerers; the higher their value in this ability, the higher the spell level they can cast.

Paris Part 2

Paris is big. Everything's big, including the prices.

Also, Paris oddly made Berlin feel clean. Which is odd, because Berlin makes Brisbane feel spotless.

Disney - Big. Commercial. Definitely oriented towards pumping the people through, sans their money as quickly and efficiently as possible. The kids loved it. Except for the lines of course.

Highly recommend non-weekend/non-holiday days. And the TGV. 10 minutes and 51 Euros vs 60 minutes and 70 Euros for the Airport-Disney direct bus. Yay for high speed trains :)

Paris Part 1

Took G to the Science Museum yesterday while A & M went off to the Eiffel Tower. It was pretty good, but 1 1/2 hr sessions for 14E :/. George didn't want to leave even tho we had to. Also seventen stations and 3 changes of train. Yuck. Especially as G fell asleep halfway home. Went to Moulin Rouge last night. Wow amazing! Tour of the river today, and then off to EuroDisney.

Lulz. I just had a dream that I went to a Metallica concert, but it was in a country town-hall. There were only about 150 people there. *chuckles*, there were some guido's, all in white, with fake spray tan. Even more amusing tho, there was a group of approx 20 six year olds, holding a fairy birthday party.

So, I posted this on faceborg late last week, but...
We're going to Germany. Berlin to be exact. Matthias was impressed enough with me to offer me the job. To me, that's huge in and of itself, as Matthias is pretty legendary in the software world. Founder of the KDE project, champion of open source, awarded the German Federal Cross of Merit (the german equivalent of knighthood).

But yeah, maybe six months, maybe a bit longer, we're packing up and moving over to the other side of the world!

Next step in the adventure.

Ugh, from sauce here. Apparently this guy wants to implement that non-penal parts of the sharia law system as a parallel law system, like we already have for the aboriginal (and TI) peoples. Which I'd agree with... if it weren't for the fact that the sharia law system is stupidly and massively biased towards the male population.

I'm not usually likely to be feeling feminist rage, but, yeah, I'm feeling it after reading this. W.T.F.

So proud of my baby boy. He's recently mastered toilet training for #1's. And now, for the second night in a row, he's woken up to go to the toilet, and had a dry nappy in the morning.

Just have to get #2's mastered (and his older sister mastered the nighttime routine).

George couldn't quite figure out why there was a blanket in his room.

After some investigation he discovered that it could and did move.

Bless him, but I don't think he realised that it covered anything. :) What an excellent surprise!

The blanket was hiding a red kitchen, which came with lots of doors!

And the sink came out! That sink hasn't stayed in the kitchen for more than five minutes at a time since. :)

Please note the sink is in the oven.

But wait, more presents!

The kids made that white box a while back. It's an old wipes box covered in white paper, then I had the kids glue pictures of food all over it. All his fake food goes in it.

In bad news, my grandmother passed away last night, 1 hour 15 minutes before her (I think) 99th birthday. Kind of expected, as her husband passed away about 6 mths ago, and she'd been in a coma for 2 weeks. She got to meet her great grandkids tho, when we went up for a visit last year to see her and granddad.

In good news, my baby boy turned 2 on thursday. Have some photos of him uploading soon, but will have more later today, as he's having a big party this afternoon.
