So, I do believe I am to be eternally grateful to my room-mate for having scanned in all this for me due to the fact my computer is a model POS by Dell and thusly has ceased in functioning properly.

With the exception of Yukina from Yu Yu Hakusho and Amelia from Slayers, these three gals are my favorite to tag around with. Top and going clockwise around: Ai from Detective Conan, Tear from Tales of the Abyss and ~~Fred~~ Romanadvoratrelundar from Doctor Who.

I am not waiting around for some official at BBC to come out and finally admit that Braxiatel and the Doctor are brothers. I'm pretty sure ninety-seven percent of the fandom knows it already. I mean, who else would send Braxiatel socks? Certainly not Narvin.

Romana has to put up with so much bullshit as President of a race of arrogant dumbasses. It's a good thing Leela is around to keep her somewhat sane.

FOR KAREN. She asked me to draw Captain Kirk so I did. ... I have no idea what to say about this. I think it speaks for itself.

FOR FA-CHAN. She wanted the Gallifrey-audio family so here they be: Romana and Braxiatel in the front, Narvin explaining whatever complicated discussion the first two are having to Leela.

Romana and Brax are such a married couple in the audios. I dare those who have listened to them to say otherwise.

While I do ship Romana with Leela and Braxiatel, I am such a sucker for my original Doctor Who OTP and I completely and utterly blame MJ for encouraging my adoration with our logs.

Another one that can be blamed on MJ. Based on an old log where Romana and Ten (rude_not_ginger) get stranded in Manhattan in the 20's. Needless to say the Time Lady has long since grown used to the Doctor's behavior.

Apparently my writing an application for Bolt at four o'clock in the morning resulted in a rather special history write-up. And by order of the many people in the chat for reality_shifted, I had posted it here, as a public entry, for all to see.

It all started five years ago when a little girl named Penny adopted a whee little shepherd puppy from an animal shop. A cute ball of fluff engaged in an epic battle against a squeaky carrot was blissfully unaware that from that day on, his life as a dog would be a lie. Not a lie as in the cake is a lie, but more like The Truman Show his whole life is a lie.

For five years Bolt believed that he was, indeed, a super dog. A dog that could blow up stuff with his laser beam eyes, bend bars, knock shit around with his super bark, head butt nice cars and play Frisbee with disc-like-bombs. He was pretty much your a-typical all-around-American, not-quite-Krypto but still super, hero canine with delusions of being the before mentioned. Oh yeah - and he lives in a trailer. Truly your a-typical American.

But then one fateful day Bolt in all his television-fictional wonder failed to save Penny from the clutches of ~~a man with a strange affiliation with felines which begs one to wonder how he even made it through high school~~ Doctor Calico. And because of this he escaped the vile cage of the man in black and ran through a Hollywood studio to find his person. Alas, he failed when he attempted to break through a window only to dive bomb unconsciously into a box of Styrofoam packing peanuts ~~OH NOES - HIS KRYPTONITE~~. Now, due to the wonderful magic that is Disney, the dog did not suffocate in the box and survived a cross-country shipping to the unhappiest place on Earth: Manhattan. Upon his arrival this not-so-super dog ran up and down the streets in hopes of finding Penny. It wasn't until he came across a few pigeons, one in which had an eerily similar voice to Robert DeNiro, did he find a link to the man with the green eye.

And that link? A female cat with a Godfather-slash-mafia complex named Mittens. ...let's just let that one sink in for a bit before moving along.

With the use of his handy-dandy-blue leash acquired from a dog walker who thought "Oh look - a lost puppy!", he ensnared Mittens and demanded that she take him to Penny. She, of course, went along with it because, seriously, would you want to piss off a psycho dog who thought he could blow shit up with his eyes? No, I think not.

So, after some truck-hopping from new York and Bolt not only discovering that the red stuff that comes out of his body is blood and that the gurgling sound your stomach makes means you're hungry, he and Mittens find themselves in a camping grounds in Ohio. It isn't until he perfected his art in the ancient canine ways of begging did he come across a hamster possessing true skills in ninja-ing named Rhino did he find that little ray of hope that there are people who understand him. Granted, this is also a hamster who spends his time in a plastic ball and watching stuff on the magic box. Regardless, Rhino is most humbly accepted into the team and thus the true adventuring begins!

... One in which includes a failed train jumping attempt and being caught by animal control. Good job, Bolt. Good job.

Everyone in their lives has at least one-life-changing epiphany. For some, it's a toilet on a roof-top, for others, it's repeatedly head-butting a metal door until it opens and thinking it was their perseverance when really they later find out it's because of a hamster with issues that gets an adrenaline rush from poping latches on moving trucks. There isn't any need to guess which one Bolt had. Upon realization that he was only a mortal dog with some reality issues Bolt still goes forth with the Mittens rescue mission after a bit of a motivational speech from Rhino that very well deserved an Oscar for. One mini-mushroom-cloud that was once a brand new pick up truck later the trio is once more on their way to Hollywood, using a map with waffles as landmarks as their guide.

It isn't until they reach Vegas does Bolt and Mittens have an argument over persons and abandonment issues. While he enjoys both of his friends as well as thankful to them for helping him learn to be a real ~~boy~~ dog, the fact of the matter remains that he is Penny's dog and has to get back to her. In the city of lights, gambling and hookers he leaves for Hollywood in the back of a pick-up truck. And this wouldn't be a true Disney movie if there wasn't some sort of misunderstanding resulting in a crushing blow to the main lead's heart (and no, cry moar it'll help won't help). Mittens, however, saves the day because upon stalking him (only after listening to yet another Oscar-winning-speech by the hamster in the ball) she sees the entire scene where Bolt thought Penny had replaced him when really it was just a stunt dog and the poor girl was heart broken from not having found the real Bolt still.

And it is that day that Bolt shines like the super dog he thought himself to be - when an accidental fire breaks out in the studio it's Bolt who rescues Penny from the fire with th use not-really-super-bark to let everyone know where they are in the burning building.

Fast forward to a few days later to a happy pup rolling about the backyard of a lovely home in the countryside with his person and that, my friends, is proof that Disney is trying very hard to redeem themselves for a bunch of failed projects in the past.

NAMELY PEOPLE WHO KNOW Tales of the Abyss.

Please look over this third person sample for Tear and tell me what you think. With my application at polychromatic they said "it was a little too superficial" and that that wanted something that studied more of her relationships with the characters from her crew and the likes so I had to write a second one.

Luke's footsteps had long since faded minutes earlier. Despite his offer for her to go back with him, she refused with a shake of her head, saying she needed to be alone for a bit longer. When he smiled and nodded, she felt a wave of gratitude and thanked him quietly.

The wind was a gentle caress against her cheek, lost eyes gazing up to the night sky overhead. Tear was alone now, left to her thoughts on this, the eve of something so important. She hugged her knees close and breathed the smallest of sighs--- and then, despite herself, smiled a smile just as small.

While the others were preparing themselves for what was to come tomorrow, Tear knew that she was ready.

Tomorrow she would have to pass the line and take the life of her only brother to save a world that was struggling to move on from Yulia's Score.

She knew that Natalia had gone through similar feelings as she was now. She had even sat with the young princess and addressed it. And when Tear had seen the look on Natalia's face after she had let that arrow fly there was a flinch within her own heart. It wasn't right, having to take the life of someone who shared your blood. It just... wasn't fair.

People could change; Luke had certainly proved this to her. In the days that had passed, just as she had promised, Tear had watched him. At first his words only brought her doubts. After all, the disaster of Akzeriuth was something that he could never find forgiveness for. And yet... he had learned. Before her eyes she had observed the replica grow from a shadow that felt sorry for himself to a living being that could stand all on his own.

But why couldn't Van understand this?

The silence of the night was gently broken when from her lips poured the beginning notes of a hymn that blossomed from deep within herself.

"Tue rei ze croa riou tue ze--"

It wasn't just Luke that had changed either. Everyone had changed since the beginning. A number of these changes had come at great costs---Ion's passing, delving into the past that some wished to keep buried, secrets that were spoken aloud, faces that returned on replicas---but they came none the less. She knew that with life comes change. That was just the way things were.

And with change came trust. That was the exchange, wasn't it?

Trust comes when people change for the better. The littlest of changes can make the biggest of differences-- things like speaking to Guy without him having a complete freak out certainly made life easier. She had seen the pain in his eyes when he spoke of that fateful night for him. The difference of a life had left such a impact on him that it had taken him all these years alone to realize it.

"--Croa riou ze tue riou rei neu riou ze--"

Anise had played the part of a betrayer for the sake of her family's life. Because of Mohs Anise had to betray not only them, her friends and comrades, but she even tricked Ion. Ion, the one person she spent the most time with for the past two years and befriended. Even Tear couldn't bring herself to blame the girl for Ion's death. The fonist watched the guardian struggle to hold herself together when Ion reached out to her one final time.

In a world so twisted by scores and ideals, it was easy to get swept away by it all. Even til the very end, the Fon Master replica could see goodness in anyone. And because of that Tear could accept Anise after all that happened.

"--Va rei ze tue neu tue riou tue croa--"

Everyone changes but her brother could not see this. It was the painful truth that brought her to her final decision. it was her responsibility as not just a human being, not only as a a fonist and follower of Yulia, but as his sister to see to it that his plans of a replica world at the cost of the lives of originals was to be stopped.

"--Riou rei croa riou ze rei va ze rei..."

If Natalia could go through with the same understanding as she had now, then so could Tear. Tomorrow she would not face the brother she loved and grown up together with. No. That man had died long ago.

Easing herself up to stand she brushed the back of her clothes, hands holding each other behind her back. The moon was high in the sky, the silhouette of replica Hod hovering in front of it.

Again she heard footsteps approach from behind. But, instead of turning around to see, the fonist only smiled faintly and waited for the person to stop at her side. Once they did, she closed her own eyes for a brief second before opening them again, turning her head just a fraction to see Jade standing there.

"It's getting late. You should get some rest."

"You should too," came the easy reply. "You may be used to the actions of battle, but even a colonel should know when to sleep."

A soft chuckle was heard, a flash of the reflection from his glasses as he pushed them a bit up the bridge of his nose. "My, my, if I didn't know any better I would think you were about lecture me on what I can and cannot do."

"It was only a suggestion," Tear answered as an eyebrow rose.

"Oh, silly me."

She rolled her eyes and brought her hands to hips. The man could be extremely irritating even without trying. But this time, she appreciated it. It reminded her that despite everything... all that they had been through, they could still be who they are. And it was able to ease some of her own troubled thoughts.

Feel free to write letters to the mun from the characters as well~ who wouldn't want to hear from the characters for fun? Use your personal journals [ and use the subject to tell us what canon you're having your character speak from ] or the character journals! Don't worry about getting silly, mushy, whatever. If you don't want other characters reading your letters, post 'em as [private] in the subject! :D

The rules are simple. You have to write letters. Length doesn't matter, neither does subject. Cheering up is the target here! And then post this in your journal to have my characters write letters to yours! [ And these can become face-to-face commentspams too, anything goes! ]
