The author has an engaging, personable style of writing that really appeals to me.
As with most motivational guides, this one touches on a variety of topics and themes but with the author's own personal spin adding substantially to each subject.
I particularly enjoyed the "$100 bill" pep talk. That one I plan to print out and post above my desk as a reminder of my self-worth on those not so great days. Really an excellent reminder.
Half star off as one pep talk referred to Snoop Dogg, who is a person I don't respect or admire, in spite of his popularity. He has said some very crude things in interviews I've seen, that "pep talk" I won't be reading again.😕
Overall, definitely recommended and I'm glad that I downloaded this guide.😊

In his introduction, Niklas Göke says a good pep talk should include three things: purpose, empathy, and prescription. He adds, “My biggest goal, however, is for empathy to be ever-present throughout this book, not just for me to show compassion to you, but also for you to be more compassionate with yourself.”
Niklas is well-read and writes beautifully on a variety of insightful topics, such as “How To Not Waste Your Life”; “Perseverance”; “Mister Rogers”; “Human Communication 101”; and “The Meaning of Life.” He quotes scientists, philosophers, movies, books, and artists, all of which I found intriguing.
The chapter that resonated with me the most, however, dealt with being valued. It is entitled, “If You’re Not Valued, You’re in the Wrong Place.” After reading it, I began to reflect on my own life. I knew I deserved more, so I took a leap of faith, and I am now in a place where I am being valued.
Another powerful chapter is entitled “Don’t Wait” and focuses on not waiting until tomorrow to do things. Niklas says so often we put things off until later and then lose our opportunity. He discusses regret and offers sage advice, such as the following:
If you want to learn the piano, press one key today.
If you want to write a book, write one paragraph today.
If you want a new job, learn one new thing today.
If you want to run a marathon, run for ten minutes today.
If you want to be a better human, change one behavior today.
Niklas concludes this chapter by saying, “Whatever you do, don’t wait. Don’t wait for tomorrow. Not again. Don’t wait.”
These 67 pep talks are full of wisdom. They can empower you to believe in yourself. They can give you courage and motivation, and they can help you overcome your fear and obstacles. Each pep talk is a gift, and they have had a profound effect on me.

Give it a go,I'm sure it's clearing my brain fog making me more confident open and able to sleep.
It's a great destresser as it tells you about stress in a simple short way in it's many stories,for example ,in Muddy Water.comparing that to the brain and leaving both to settle brings calmness and clarity,you won't regret this book honestly,God Bless.
