I had a message from Ian saying this diary is coming to an end in January, and it really is a fascinating insight into life in the Soviet Union as it was in 1968. It paints a realistic portrait which should interest all writers who need to recreate a feeling of time and place. It is definitely food for thought, and well written. A true work of dedication.
This guy just embarrassed me by recommending me with words of praise, something I had forgotten you could do on here. As I have read all his fantastic stories about Pauley and the Crab, and eagerly anticipate more, I will happily recommend him to all of you. If you need a dopamine hit, and could do with feeling a bit aaahhh, make a cuppa and become acquainted with Pauley. His stories are quite addictive.
If you enjoy learning about folklore, the history of legends and mysterious stories, these give a wonderful insight from a completely different culture, which might just change the way you think about why we love telling ghost stories, and anything similarly supernatural.
