Most of what I post here is typed on one of my many old manual typewriters.
Kent Peterson is cool. The typewritten script, the intent, the use of language - they’re all just right. How he says what he says is always worn lightly and never self consciously, and I frequently find what he says helpful. Genuine writing. As I said, cool. Try reading him.
I love writing and I love an audience. I will be live writing my new novel The Pemberley Papers here and sending a weekly newsletter with glimpses of play rehearsals, script conferences, festivals and all the fun bits of this writer's life.
I dig Daisy Goodwin’s work for her honesty and her style. She is a writer of real wit and I value her work as part of my reading life.
The court of Versailles and French high society through the words of those who were there between 1682 and 1789.
I really look forward to these daily vignettes of fact and people from Versailles between 1682 and 1789. They are such a good length: little pops of history whose brevity belies their layers of meaning and personality. And the clothes...Really good. I love this and hope you might as well.
