In response to increasingly dynamic drone threats on the modern battlefield, Digital Force Technologies (DFT) and Powerus have developed a fully integrated kinetic counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) kill chain designed for real-time response.

The system merges Powerus’ interceptor drone with DFT’s Seraphim command-and-control platform, forming a unified kill chain that links detection, tracking, and decision-making.

The result? A C-UAS architecture aimed at reducing reaction times, easing operator workload, and improving engagement performance in contested environments.

With rapid deployment, minimal training requirements, and easy adjustment to shifting mission needs, this system is intended for immediate operational use.

“A highly successful C-UAS defeat chain relies on adaptable kinetic solutions matched with command-and-control software that work together to be part of an evolving system,” said Justin MacLaurin, president and chief executive officer of DFT.

“Cheap, disposable weapons allow enemies in today’s conflict to continuously shift attack strategies. Allies need a system that is designed to physically and technologically match and surpass enemy fighters while quickly adapting to emerging threats.”

The new kill-chain is intended to engage Group 1-3 drones in short-range, low-altitude missions, including Iran’s Shahed loitering munitions and Russia’s Orlan-10.

A High-Tech Combination

Seraphim is a software platform capable of autonomously detecting and identifying drones in complex operational environments.

By processing data in real time and prioritizing threats automatically, it accelerates the transition from detection to active response.

Powerus has not yet disclosed the specific interceptor variant that will anchor the kill chain, though current indications point to its lightweight Guardian-1 system.

The drone can reach speeds of up to 340 kilometers (211.2 miles) per hour and incorporates a reinforced carbon fiber airframe to stay stable during high-speed flight.

Together, the pairing is designed to streamline layered counter-drone operations, aiming to give operators a faster and more cohesive response against evolving aerial threats.
