West Palm Beach, Florida - On January 16, 2026, the Gulf Stream Council, Boy Scouts of America held its 28th Annual Boy Scouts Sporting Clays Invitational, an event that is a cherished tradition
for the organization, Oxbow Carbon LLC, and the community. Oxbow Carbon proudly participated as both a team competitor and a sponsor.
The
Gulf Stream Council, Boy Scouts of America has been dedicated to developing leaders and creating adventures since 1914.
Today, the organization serves more than 4,500 Scouts and 2,500 dedicated adult volunteers across seven southeast Florida counties: Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, Glades,
Okeechobee, and Hendry.
The Boy Scouts Sporting Clays Invitational unites supporters from across the region to celebrate and advance the core mission of Scouting: preparing young individuals for a lifetime of leadership,
adventure, learning, and service.
Through hands-on experiences such as camping, community service projects, and skill-building activities, Scouts develop strong character, become responsible citizens, and strengthen their
leadership abilities.
These experiences not only prepare Scouts for future challenges but also create lasting memories and a solid foundation of confidence and integrity.
This year’s event featured 55 participating teams and raised over $154,000 — a noteworthy accomplishment that will provide valuable support to the Gulf Stream Council, Boy Scouts of America’s
outreach initiatives and services.
Oxbow Carbon’s participating employees embodied the spirit of friendly competition, contributing to an atmosphere of camaraderie and excitement that made the day memorable for everyone in attendance.
Throughout its 28-year history, the Boy Scouts Sporting Clays Invitational has raised funds and increased awareness to ensure that the transformative benefits of Scouting remain accessible to all
youth, particularly those in underserved communities.
Over the past three years, the event has raised more than $546,000.
The Gulf Stream Council aims to use these events to expand opportunities for young individuals and highlight the importance of community partnerships in fostering youth development.
By coming together in support of this cause, participants and sponsors are directly contributing to the development of future leaders committed to honor, respect, and citizenship.
